  • speechless, man that looks sick!

  • this looks so complitated

  • I just started djing and this is going on sale in my city for 100$ at the local dj store here, i cant wait to buy it and dj anywhere to practice

  • Pretty cool.

  • i prefere 100 times to mix with a pair of cdjs-1000 and a djm 800 than peacemaker

  • @dorianhacks i agree be creative with ur own style

  • When i bought mine, why was the box so small? and only went with a USB cable and nothing else. But it was 60gb...

  • does is have some compressor ? the video needs some compressing too........

  • how much is this??and what brand?just PM me

  • @aimless1984

    It's like a bit above 400 dollars I believe.

  • i don't catch the goal of this product

  • ok..im confused.

is the pacemaker closer to a koasilator..or a mixer??

  • this thing is great for throwing little impromptu raves out of the back of a flatbed truck.

  • this guy in the video is sooooo excited!!!! lol taking that shit out of the box sooo fast

  • actually i take that back technology like the pacemaker may very well take over decks and vinyl have a look like 15-20 years ago vinyl Dj's were the shit and that was the latest and best technology in dj industry but not long after digital decks started coming out and the same thing happened that is happening now people didnt take them seriously but wait a minute now the majority of all DJs use digital decks. and i bet you that this is going to happen again with pacemaker type technology.

  • My Response:

hahahahha oh my god how up yourself are you "Now listen while ppl who kno what they're talking about speak." you even quoted me and you obviously didnt even read what i said. when did i say that the pacemaker would ever replace real players because it wouldnt but i still believe that if a DJ can use a pacemaker and wanted to in a club or whatever gig they had then they should be able to.

  • i have seen reviews from DJ's that HAVE used them in a club and the crowd loved the DJ being in the mosh with them, he was able to dance and interact with the audience and as he was part of the audience he was easily able to see what they wanted to "HEAR" because if i do recall its about the music not the look. maybe if you weren't so closed minded you might actually get some work and promote people instead of sitting on your ass abusing people on youtube.

  • hmmm... I could see the pacemaker being good for requests if u're in the crowd partyin wid di ppl but doesn't it have wires that could easily trip out? Its a nice gadget but b4 I buy that, I'd have to kop me a "real" set.

    Bless.

  • u kno how much is da lil shit???

  • lol hes so excited opening the packet, looks like a 5 year old at chirstmas time :P

  • What were the song it was playing?

  • nerds will be nerds trying to fuck up the Industry with shit like this and mixmeister too !

  • you sir are a douche...

  • lol then why do you use a computer programe bro? why dont u get a mixer with usb to plug in a hard drive then use computers to dj? that dosent make you no diffrent then any other dj with a pc =]

  • Costs too much for a toy. No serious DJ can walk into a club & play their entire set on that. Thats more like something to put in ur pocket & pull out when u want to get some "portable practice". I dont think it should be costing the same as say... the DN-S3700... thats crazy! Guess its not for the starter Dj or any1 who isn't pissin out cash.

  • true

  • well the DN S3700 CANT DO WHAT THE PACEMAKER DOSE AND WHO SAYS U CAN DO YOUR WHOLE SET ON THE PACE MAKER??? I DO IT ALL THE TIME I HARLY EVER TUCH MY PIONEERS I DONT LIKE CARING ALL THAT TO A GIG WHEN I CAN GET PAID THE SAME WHETER OR NOT I TAKE THEM!!!

  • Well not to be rude but you could never be playing infront of a serious audience with a pacemaker. It looks like a joke. I as a promoter wouldn't pay u the same to come and fiddle with ure lil hand held gadget... I'm sorry. Its a toy, only good for getting practice and very overpriced.

  • hahahaa well OFCURES U CANT PLAY A GIG WITH JUST THAT! i show up with my mixer my 2 amps my 6 speakers and my sub then from there i conect my pace maker on to my mixer and mix of the pace maker all so theres really NO BIG DEAL i can preten im using a pc since ether way music is music its about YOU and not what u you use!!!

  • SK8R3397 wrote:

u're also a douche... u have no idea what u're talking about, it is all the "DJ's" preference NOT the promoter, u should hav no say over what gear the DJ uses just because of what it looks like, if the DJ feels that they can play a set with a pacemaker the obviously they can. HA!!! & u are obviously incredibly stupid, how can u not see how small the pacemaker is & the amount of quality DJ technology that has being put into such a small device and its only $700, whiney bitch!

  • My Response:

Nerd... u don't get it, thats why u wont make it out of ur bedroom. Now listen while ppl who kno what they're talking about speak. DJing is an art. ppl want to see the DJ working, not lookin like he's messin around with his Blackberry! It may work for small private house gigs... maybe but clubscene and major parties.... NO WAY! it wont replace real players in anyway. FURTHERMOEAs the promoter I can tell u anything I want! If u cant deliver, if u cant I get some1 else.

  • I have a pace maker i been djing for 6 years now i have one becuase i like feel secure that i can dj anytime anywere anyplace all in my pocket it replace my ipod not my dj system!!!!

  • Yea, it'd be my new toy! I'd love it for practice. But thats about it... maybe for small socials and "get together's" But its a pricey.

  • wtf this smal was soo good

  • I find it very very expensive. definitely not for someone who wishes less than DJ mixing.

  • Just wish it has wifi.

  • very cool stuff. good for ppl who want to learn but cant afford turntables and mixers. kinda expensive tho, $8xx in the US, but the concept is very awsome.

  • dude it looks awsome!!

can you like also just mix en play the music with headphone in and not in those stereo?

  • andyfallondev is right

although ther will be someone with 120gb worth of music

    hence the 120gb ipods

but i do think its ingenious piecce of kit

    i love vinyl

    but stop hating on technology

    not the way forward

    but looks fucking fun

    next xmas?

  • Rubbish Keep buying vinyl , playing vinyl !

You think people would be happy to pat £40 for a night out and the dj pulls that out his pocket that people would be happy with that .

    Its a fad !

Im sure it has its uses but its just killing the real underground music

with twats who think they can mix after one go on a pocket jazzed up mp3 player

Sorry but i dont see it as anything special !

  • I think I'd rather stick with cdj's or turntables, or even a midi controller with a computer. Too much functionality in a single-tiny device only makes it cluttered and expansion-wise limited.

  • what is the basic price of this thing?

  • is it just me or is this a torture device too. ... . i want 1 sooo bad yet £400 is just torture to part with haaha :D gr8 bit of kit tho

  • Its an excelent equipment... and good review!!!

Thee is a Pacemaker group in Facebook with reviews and the people that join would be in touch with the latest info, and discounts... The group is called "PACEMAKER... Reviews!!!"

    Dj Danny

  • Its definitely a neat piece of kit. Its expensive (about 800 bucks US) and is lacking 1 key feature, LINE IN. Who the hell has 120G worth of DJ tracks, i want that space to record live sets at shows, and this device for plane trips, car rides, camping, etc.

The pacemaker is an expensive backup toy for people who love to mix, but the inclusion of a line in would have made it a must have.

  • Pretty Lights!

  • Awesome piece of kit

  • whats the point in this looks daft and stupit.. there taking the whole point away from the word dj.. next well b mixing without hands..

  • great to hear that someone is still playing volsoc :)

  • i still dont really get this. they have a website that is a bit of a social network for Pacemaker owners, i think. I just wish you could scratch with it. ITS GOT A ROUND TOUCH PAD. With that, scratching should come naturally

  • Hey DJ Mag! I'm not sure if you're reading these comments, but if you're doing another video review, I'd be really interested in seeing this in 'mixer mode'. I hear that it can have two outputs plugged into the mixer, allowing people to use mixers as normal. And thank you for making this whole thing a lot easier to understand with your preview!

  • I Want One!

  • looks sweeeeeeet

  • too complicated.

  • noob

  • Yeah, and like you know how to use this unit!

Go back to learning on your belt drives.

  • Now we're getting somewhere! This is the first comprehensive "in-depth" look of The Pacemaker so far, and I must say it's really, really awesome! Can't wait to get my hands on one of these babies! Let's mixxx!

  • finally a video that shows clearly what that thing is about!! thanks!!!

all other videos on pacemaker are crap..

  • very complicated

  • whoa, tahts actually pretty cool.

  • I can't wait to get my hands on one of these

  • I so want one!!!

  • Pretty interesting JAMES BONDish meets DJ..

  • awsome
