@SolarBlade52 I am getting both. I never really had a problem with the remastered sets. I like that feature where you can view the dub with the Japanese music. It gives me that classic Dragon Ball feel. The widescreen never bugged me that much. However, I am getting the Dragon Boxes for collection purposes.

@thomasthestalker Childish or not, cartoon still means all forms of animation. Anime is not fancy eye people, the deep plot, and the "adult themes", it is just cartoons in Japan. Anime is for everyone in Japan, depending on what show it is. About all of shonen based anime are aimed for all ages believe or not.

It was a bit mean but the boys rant was boring. Personally I'm glad they are remaking Dragon Ball Z and taking out all that annoying pointless filler out, I wish they could do that with Naruto and Bleach.

I also want them to do what they are doing with Full Metal Alchemist and Inuyasha to Claymore because I read a bit of the manga and I would prefer a faithful anime adaptation.

This kid is an idiot. Now, to be fair, I didn't know that Kai was cutting out all the filler until recently, but at least I knew it was a remake. However, the reason I'm calling him stupid is because he obviously did NO RESEARCH! It's stuff like this that gets me pissed off, like when someone claims Yu-Gi-Oh copied off of Pokemon despite the fact they were released in Japan the EXACT SAME YEAR! Honestly, we have the internet for a reason.

Dragon Ball kai is not a remake it's a reshowing the only thing new is the intro and the removal of filler episodes a remake would involve fresh animation or scenes they edited vegeta's coloration in one episode and that was it I hope that bastard akira toriyama actually makes something new one day but what can you do he fails on his own every second he thinks.

@GreenPhoenix91 Yeah I guess you have a point there with reshow. But it's not really the same show, just retelling it with the show being 99% stock footage from DBZ.

Akira Toriyama doesn't even make the anime, he might of helped at some points. He just makes the manga's, and then Toei adapts it into an anime. He didn't even want to continue the series after the Frieza Saga.
