Nope. It was never on an album. There is a version of it on Origin which is just piano, vocal and David Hodges doing background vocals, and that version is the same version on Fallen (just without the strings) but this version was never released on an album.

At the time of recording I'd assume it was an acoustic. A very bright grand? Not sure. They were very small at the time of the recording, I don't think they had access to a keyboard.

I think that the three versions are equal (though the piano and combination between it and the voice on the one from Origin is better)

But you have got to admit her voice gets a little weak at moments in this song.

I can see why the producers wanted to change the song. This bridge section does not flow as well as the one on the album. Not as good in my opinion.

Pros: her voice the first minute the lyrics the ending the 3-4 minute part(those were my favorite lyrics in there) her voice again(sounds more real and has more feeling and sounds more fresh. Cons: the piano( it was too loud and seemed to take away from her voice) a tad to slow the piano sounded off key WHY ISNT THIS ON ITUNES????!!!!

I like this version better. Maybe because it seems a bit more raw, you know? I like some songs to sound a little raw, because it sounds like the voice wasn't worked on by computers or anything like that. I don't know, maybe it's just me. ;)

My favourite is this one, and I found it on a website that allows you to download all of the Evanescence Demos for free, because Evanescence are no longer making money from it, so Amy has said something about encouraging us to download it. I could send it to you, if you wish.
