My opinion about China encouraging its population to buy bulion is, that when the price explodes, the Chinese population will have bought alot of bulion, and then, the Chinese Goverment could easily confisquete everything.

I've been to Old Towne Coins on the Berlin Turnpike, he was charging $5 over spot for eagles under quantity of 10 and $4 over for 10+. is that normal for eagles? Do you recommend any other CT coin/PM shops? Thanks!!

That is expensive. Apmex sells for $2.99 over spot for 1, as low as 1.99 over spot for 500+ as of today.

@ilovesdgc There is a nice coin shop in portland, ct. Only problem is they aren't stacked with eagles. Alot of 90% silver, and higher premium older coins. Just picked up a couple eagles the other day, $22 a piece. A few gold coins, but higher premium ones, like graded, or pre-1930 gold with a higher premium.

Buying gold jewelry, which is the cheapest way to acquire on the open market. And then shipping it back to China to refine it. LOL! It seems like the Chinese are always one step ahead (sneaky)

I have seen a lot of "home grown" silver rounds in the US.

I will take you Silver bugs with a grain of salt..Untill I see silver break over $25.00..At that point Gold should reach 1,400.00..Untill then most of this talk is just conjecture ..I do believe in pm..I would be estatic if silver even went to $40.00..I am not greedy..

I get all my silver/gold either online from a trusted site (scottsdalesilver, monarchpreciousmetals, qualitysilverbullion are a few) or at the local coin shop.

As far as whats 'best' goes, well, I don't think there really is a 'best' way to invest in PMs. You should, as they say, "diversify your portfolio", according to what you like and can afford.
