*sigh* And this is why certain areas in Nova Scotia have foxes taking over the neighborhood, because we have to hand feed everything that's cute so they become dependent on hand outs.
The bible says humans are rulers over all animals and that it is our job to domesticate them, foxes are probably next, one day according to the bible every animal will be domesticated
@jewelzlife89 They've been domesticated in some form. It's widely legal or generally easy to own one and many domesticated dogs have been bred from or with foxes.
Where I live there are loads of foxes that come out at night, they are a nightmare they make so much noise at night screaming at each other, they poo all over the garden and they pull down the bins ripping black bags and making a mess. I admit they are lovely to look at and look nice but they are pests. Also these are wild animals and can be dangerous and people shouldnt be feeding them especially hand feeding, this is why they are getting brave and attacking people because there notscaredanymore
@BabyBluesRider for the love of god, dude, foxes only attack people when the people attack them first.Foxes are on their way to being a domestic animal and it will be awesome when they do, look at cats and dogs, they were wild at one time, but now they are domesticated, and it's believed that foxes were once domesticated before dogs. Foxes are no more pests than a stray dog.
@Zack4568 Is that really? Thats funny because I heard a story a while ago that one badly injured a baby after it came in a house. Wonder if the baby attacked it first. These animals have all kind of diseases and of course they can be dangerous, its people like in this video why they are getting brave and actually attacking people because they keep feeding them. As ive said I dont have a problem with them in general I have a problem when there causing a problem at my home.
For the sake of their own survival wild animals should be afraid of people. When people feed them they start to expect food from humans which will make them an easier target for anyone who might want to do them harm.
@kypiennbubba Dude relax, there is a grown man right there watching if anything goes wrong, plus foxes never attack people anyway. Just enjoy the great video.
@kypiennbubba Dude, foxes' primary diet is rodents, and they get scared of typically-sized house cats. Unless it has rabies, or it's defending it's den, it's not gonna attack a person.
Understand the connection to nature, but never a good idea to have wild animals associate food with humans. This is not helping the fox in the long run.
@rmrracerabe2 What's the point of conserving wildlife if human beings can't have just a little contact with them? One meal isn't going to make the difference between surviving and domesticity.
what the father did... was a good thing because he is building a bond with the wild and his family... but at the same time you better hope that lil fox doesn't bring any friends over for dinner LOL
Yes because this little girl is learning about the majesty of wild animals...no because we know that feeding wild animals human food is rarely a good idea.
But I'll go with 'yes' because you live in the Wilderness, obviously know what you're doing and as one who loves foxes I always get a charge of watching them in action.
Gary Johnson is the best presidential candidate for the american people. He has the most logical and ethical economic solutions for this nation as a whole. I ask that you at least research him, and if you do not, if I did know you, I'd have to ask, why are you voting when you do not have all the facts? Why vote only for your own sake instead of for the sake of our nation . Take some time and read, and see what else is out there? besides what the media tells you
Wow...just like TwoSocks in Dances with Wolves! When I was a kid I was bicycling on a cowpath and came on a lone mangy scared starving 8 week old. I didnt even have a shirt to rap him/her up in & was sure I'd get bitten/come down with God knows what. Would have liked to raise that fox, laws be damned.
The comments talk a lot about the dangers for the girl. Let's not forget the dangers for the fox ,too. AFAIK, if you feed wild animals, then they'll become dependent on humans for food, leading them into further and further contact with humans. Eventually, they'll either lose their ability to function in the wild, not to mention someone could get hurt. I doubt you meant any harm to either your daughter or the fox, but it's better to not feed wild animal at all. They can get food themselves
some one should shoot that thing ppl like that have it use to just walking up to kids now what if it gos to another house and there kid spook it and it kills a 5year old lil kid so to say?
This is not only unwise, but dangerous, and in some states illegal. How can you be sure the fox doesn't have rabies, distermper, or some other disease?
Please please please be careful feeding the fox :/ i had 2 beauties out at my house and some ass hole shot one because my neighbors were feeding it and it went up to the persons house and the person being a city kid shot it -.- now i have a collar on little red (the female of the 2 that were here)
@kullprit Lol maby the bear but other than that i dont and whoes to say he hadent found a bear that was in a good mood and not hungry? lol ive came face to face with several wolves, a bob cat, a panther several foxes and even a wild goat wolves arnt the blood thirsty monsters people make them out to be
Just the other night maybe about 2 in the morn i was walking from my house to my truck and a freakin skunk come out from under the truck and walked towards me. I stopped dead in my tracks and my heart went into my throat. LOL
I thought for sure it was going to spray me but it just stopped, looked at me and walked away.

One of the stupidest Fucking things I have ever seen right here.....Dumb fuck humans thinking they are actually in control of something again....It was merely luck that this turned out the way it did. Father of the year award here.......
It's reasonable to be wary around foxes, they could have rabies and other dangerous diseases and it's not good to feed them because not all humans are aware that they aren't dangerous if you just leave them alone and might hurt them. It's better for the animal just to be left alone
@foxpain Because that's their definition of "fun", duh.The killing of other living things for their personal entertainment and "sport". We're only lucky they aren't allowed to do that with humans anymore.
You probably shouldn't feed foxes, but whatever. They just might become more inclined to be more comfortable with humans. Which is sort of a bad thing as they are wild animals.
Hey, do you like these animals? yeah? cool. how about not feeding the fucking wildlife, he's going to go onto your neighbors yard, scare them, and then he will shoot this nice little fox. nice one, fuck face.
@TheKoodude7 Why tame them? You know what happened when the guys over in Australia tamed dingos? They lost their timid behavior and started attacking humans, now it's different if you own a wild animal, but if you give a wild animal food it thinks: "Heh, I got food from humans! Who knew?!" I adore animals, they are my life, but they get hurt and hurt others and have no idea what happens when they attack humans. Not trying to troll, just saying.
@00KateyWolf00 Skittywolf is right in a way, while I think it's kind of stupid for people to flip out over an animal getting tamed, it's also not entirely smart to feed them very often when they're wild. They start seeing people as a way to get food and approaching them, and then stupid people end up shooting them because they think any wild animal approaching them is rabid and going to kill them.
You took a risk putting your little girl in that situation. Foxes are known to have rabies and disease. I'm glad it worked out, but consider it a gift that it didn't bite her.
This is a beautiful fox! I have been in nature and been lucky enough to literally have them come up and calmly lay next to me.As long as you don't intimidate them with your size and don't emit fear, they will sense that you are not a threat to them and they will be more relaxed. The chances of being "attacked" by a fox is next to nil. It's much higher for a bear, cougar, wolf and the like to attack a human.I think they'd make a great pet! Read National Geographic article about foxes (March 2011)
but your not doing yourself or than animal any favors
I was biten by a bear in the hand when I was 5 years old through a chain link fence by a "tame" bear while the owner of the bear and my father watched, thank god I still have all my fingers. By the way "tame" dogs (family pets) attack and kill children quite often. This is a wild animal leave it alone.
One of these was at my back door today looking in at my dogs I've never seen a more beautiful animal so up close and I am sure it was not rabid because it was two hours dark
I think this is one of the most beautiful thing parents can do, as an activity with their children. Educate their children to come in contact with mother nature and animals, with patience and respect, we can earn the trust of an animal. Very exciting experience i think, for u and ur daughter! GREAT PARENTING RIGHT THERE!
@phototaker84 I think that if you are well educated about that stuff and know what certain animals can and cannot eat then it's ok. It becomes a problem if the person decides to take its natural ability to hunt for food, by feeding it every day!! However because of all the bad publicity given to many animals, it's important in knowing how to approach them and respect them. Good point though, my respects!
I love foxes so much... They are so smart, and they are very misunderstood. People say negative, mis-stated facts about foxes, like they are susceptible to rabies more than other animals. This is a misconception... Your stray dog on the street or a skunk is more likely to contract rabies than a fox, but foxes, like other animals -can- get it... Just not as often as people would have you believe. Foxes are good animals to have around! Huzzah to our foxy friends!
Thats really amazing, i havent had children yet as im 23 and in university but i would be scared the fox would bite her by accident or because its nervous, but you or someone else has probly fed hat fox before he looks pretty used to you guys being close and nothing happened of course its cool video tho rly it is
This is a cute animal and very nice video, but it really isn't good to feed wild animals no matter how cute. Its not good for them to be dependent on humans for food. well it couldnt hurt one single animal much at all. still an awesome video. I think the red fox was or is indangerd or that could be some other type of fox?

if this indeed a wild animal this is totally irresponsible!

@lardmonk sometimes you just have to experience life and not worry, you know?

I think this is one of the most beautiful thing parents can do, as an activity with their children. Educate their children to come in contact with mother nature and animals, with patience and respect, we can earn the trust of an animal. Very exciting experience i think, for u and ur daughter! GREAT PARENTING RIGHT THERE!

@anapao89 except for the fact that they are feeding wild animals. thats a no no
phototaker84 4 months ago
@phototaker84 I think that if you are well educated about that stuff and know what certain animals can and cannot eat then it's ok. It becomes a problem if the person decides to take its natural ability to hunt for food, by feeding it every day!! However because of all the bad publicity given to many animals, it's important in knowing how to approach them and respect them. Good point though, my respects!

Hello, kiddo!

Having fed wild foxes in my country, I find it better to sit or crouch when feeding them. That way you get closer to them without looking threatening

This is a cute animal and very nice video, but it really isn't good to feed wild animals no matter how cute. Its not good for them to be dependent on humans for food. well it couldnt hurt one single animal much at all. still an awesome video. I think the red fox was or is indangerd or that could be some other type of fox?
OMGZombiePenguin 1 year ago
@OMGZombiePenguin Actually, the Red Fox is one of the few animals that had a population increase from interacting with humans (in North America.)
