  • This is my cousin.. he is getting better now;)

  • @Killerdoctor27 Your cousin is one of the baddest boys on this earth 5/8 with a damn lion's heart :D

  • @sandythebear tru that!

  • Oh, I almost forgot, he's my cousin too.

  • he's my cousin... it was scary to see that

  • Oh yeah, he's my cousin

  • Oh crap that has got to hurt

  • this was the worst day of my life carney was the boss for a 5-10 little guy he was better than some 6-3 qb's

  • Was this guy good enough to go pro? I always wondered. anyone know?

  • how do u get videos like that from your tv to your computer?

  • Nasty.

  • 69 yards lol

  • i met shaun and his center blaine and those cats were cool as hell...i couldnt believe when he got hurt like that but i suffered a similar injury so i knew when i saw he was done...great career 4 year starter...without him afa couldnt hang on though

  • Such a Great Game - sadly this was the only game in the bowl season I lost on a ten teamer in Vegas - would've paid 250k when Carney's knee went out I knew I was royally F'ed. I don't play would've should've could've normally but no doubt in my mind he isn't injured and air force at least covered the +4 spread. they lost by 6 and he went down at end of 3rd q and after that Air force had no shot! I feel your pain Carney!

  • what kind of knee injury was it?

  • i believe he tore acl and mcl, it was bad

he was in a wheelchair for a while

sucks, he's a cool ass guy

  • shaun carney. started QB for air force as a freshman. never got injured once in his 4 year career. had what happened above on the last game of his life, before a great future nfl career. woul have led air force to the win of the armed forces bowl if they did not hit him like that.

  • Way to go Shaun. You played a great game.

  • OUCH

  • fuck!!!

  • ...also, Cal won not only because of Carney's injury, but because Tedford put starters DeCoud, Jordan, and Jackson into the game, switched QB Longshore with Riley (AF didn't anticipate this), and because the Cal defense figured out AF's option offense.

  • this is for you and secretdarkman. Carney is a 4 year senior starter he was making all the right descisions and almost every option was positive. They had to put a guy in with carrer stats of 1 rush and not one single pass Plus the D wasn't doing good but they were feeding off Carney's momentum.

PS Hes the heart and soul of the team

  • Like I said, AF should have anticipated that Carney may get hurt playing against PAC-10 "hogwallies" (as that AF general called the oversized Cal players); the bowl game was billed as California vs. Air Force, not California vs. Shaun Carney

  • true true. they had no depth at qb, it cost them and cal won the game fair and square. Now i can only think, what if...?

  • Figured out AF's option offense? pffhahaha no the option offense was the shawn carney/chad hall duo. They didn't figure anything out it just fell apart without Carney. With Carney AF would continue to score and ride out the 20 pt or so cushion to the end. CAL's NFL prospect receivers may still score but AF comes out on top

  • "ride out the 20 pt or so cushion"???? Carney went down when AF was up 24-21. The score is right there on the screen. At that point there was no 20 pt cushion to ride.

  • ???????? omg don't get your panties in a bunch

It's 10 points then if carney scored there. two scores. fact is they were going to win. the carney/hall option was driving up and down the field at that time. Nothing was figured out

  • What's this "if carney scored there" business? Carney went on 3rd/goal and *did not score*. They would have kicked a FG anyways. After AF took a 21-0 lead, the following drives until Smith took at QB for AF over were 4 straight TDs for Cal and 2 punts/2 FGs for AF. Cal had 6 TDs from 7 drives (one was w/ 27 sec in the half), ended by a lost fumble in the 8th. Cal outscored AF 42-9 during this stretch. AF lost because Cal's offense started dominating and Cal's D figured out the triple option.

  • *did not score* because his *knee exploded*. Actually he should have just pitched it. Cal did not have the option figured out. Final score 42-36. That's a one score game. This was not a blowout you genius. Had the injury not occurred AF would have held on.

  • Cal won because they had AF's defense figured out and top receivers were off the 1st qtr suspension. Carney didn't score w/3 Cal defenders tackling him at the 1 yd line; the knee injury was incidental. If you didn't already notice it, Cal's D kept AF out of the end zone 4 straight times until Smith took over while their offense scored 4 straight TDs (save the drive with only 27 secs). So for our revisionist fantasy football you get Carney not blowing his knee; we get Forsett not fumbling.

  • jesus christ what the hell do you care youtube comment argument guy? I'm saying it's a one score game at the end and with plenty of time we lost our key offensive player. There's nothing more to say.

  • You're still arguing. They play the game to determine the winner, not assume 20 or 10 point 2nd half leads that don't exist. Cal took the lead on the next drive; no more lead to hold on to. And it's not a sure thing that they AF does better with Carney. Cal was heavily outscoring AF with Carney (28-6) playing after the 21-0 lead. After the injury AF scored 10 points under Smith in 4 drives, which was actually more than the 6 points under Carney's last 4 drives(after AF went up 21-0).

  • 1 score game

    lost key player

    nothing

    more

    to

    say

  • "He doesn't get injured, AF wins that game"

There's a reason why even 6-4 , 230 pound quarterbacks avoid running the ball in the major conferences. Shaun Carney is 5-10, 190 pounds and he is a hell of a quarterback, but the fact of the matter is his running game put him at a great risk for injury against Cal. Carney and Calhoun knew the risks, went ahead with it, and Carney got mangled.

  • woo go cal hate to see a career end that way though

  • i watched this live on TV... one of the only plays i saw of this game oddly enough. i think he'll come back from this- even though lots of people are saying no.

  • He doesn't get injured, AF wins that game.

  • true

  • false cal would have won because kevin riley came in for longshore and was ON FIRE

  • i was at the game down at TCU, shaun is my cousin, my dads sisters son, shaun tore every ligament in his, but no broken bones, funny story is that night on new years eve he went out and got boozed up in a fucking wheelchair. flew back to colorado with the team next day. dont know how they got him on the plane though

  • reminds me of willis mcgahee's knee injury about 5 years back in the national championship game

  • Can't watch this..

  • done for the afternoon? try career

  • I've seen worse but that is still sick

  • shits digustin worst then when shaun livingston hurt his knee

  • poor guy... of of the best QB's Air Force has had since Chance Harridge... They might have been able to beat Cal as well if he wasn't hurt... great heart shown by the Falcon's though... GO AIR FORCE

  • Holy shit!

  • ouch.

  • that makes me wanna hurl
