Seen Quicksilver many many times with or without doesnt matter .. You just dont know??? What an awesome band.. probably rates in the top five all times with me!
Whether pre or post Dino .... GREAT band and great song, nonetheless. I saw them live in Chicago many years ago, and it was AWESOME !!! Don't be stick-in-the-muds, Peeps !!!!

OMG, I have always loved this song. In the early 70's, my boyfriend and I used to trip on this album and it took me deep into the songs. What a Great experience.

I really hope that's true because I wouldn't have said anything too you if you didn't come back in my life with your comment.s. Leaving me out of your life sounds good to me. I'm all for it. Thanks
@hippygangster I don't mind that your a Dino groupie. You entailed to your opinion just like i am. Difference is I saw QMS pre-Dino and know what they were and you didn't and don't,
This band was soooo under-rated back in the day yet they meant so much to me and those who grew up with them back in the '60s.....psychedelic heart at its best!!
@violetrod I grew up with QMS in the 60's and the guy singing this song wasn't in the band then. He showed up later after the classic QMS Fillmore/Avalon/Haight St. days in SF were over. The 60's QMS was one of the greatest bands I've heard and seen and they sure weren't under-rated to us but I guess they are historically to people who didn't get to see the classic QMS that didn't sound like this.
@6749er Dino Valenti just didn't show up, he was one of the original members. .According to John Cipollina he was the inspiration behind the band as a founding member. He was in prison for possession of marijuana during the late 1960's Dino's was born Chester William Powers Jr. and was a troubadour his entire life having been born into a family of entertainers. He penned songs under the names: Jackie Powers&Jesse Orris Farrow. He wrote "Get Together "recorded by the Youngbloods.
@7423333 Dino was part of the late 1950& early 1960's Greenwich Village folk scene before moving to CA. He had shared the stage with the likes of Richie Havens & Bob Dylan. Richie Havens to this day, when performing live, still plays songs composed by him. All of the members of QMS were and are extremely talented.
I know his history. He didn't play one note with QMS before he was busted & he wasn't asked to join the band after he got out of the joint. He showed up with Ducan at a New Years show after Gary left. The other guys all wanted Duncan back so much they went along with his deal to take Dino too. That's how he got into the band & after he started his take over Cip & Nicky both quit the band because they didn't want to be in the band with Dino & David quit for the same reason a year later
@MrClearli By 68 I had seen all the famous bands of the era and the CLASSIC pre-Dino QMS Live was amazing. On any given night they were the best band in town no mater who was in town. Too bad they didn't leave the Bay-Area much so a lot of people didn't get to see them in action. No one who did mistook them for what they became after Dino voice and act took over. Your right they were nothing like this. People should get Happy Trails or their 1st LP for tthe classic QMS SF sound. .

How the band changed with Valenti's rejoining the band a couple years later. Must've been tough on those great guitarists.

This is a great song and sung so effortlessle and amazingly......unfortunately it's rendered abnoxious by overuse of reverb and treble.
