I dont even know how to use my viera link dont know the model dont wanna look dont care bought in january brand new from best buy it was made in 2010 menus say alot about viera link and a button on my remote i have a ps3,xbox 360 hooked up can i watch netflix without my xbox or ps3?? anyways its a 42" 1080p plasma
@I2atedStudios Hi..You have to have a panasonic dvd , blue-ray, blue-ray recorder to use the direct tv record, button on the tv remote. If a recorder is connected to the tv, by a scart plug, and it is in stand-by mode, this direct record button when pressed switches on the recorder, and starts recording the station you are watching.
Panasonic is a excellent brand. I've pledged my allegiance to them, both my tv and home theater system are Panny. Even my car head unit is Panasonic. Nothing beats them for the price. I bought a Viera Plasma last year and haven't looked back, nothing compares.

i just bought a Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80B Plasma Full HD TV. To use the Viera Link do i need a certain HDMI cable or will any HDMI cable work?
