TBC was amazing. i remember being dead set on quitting WoW after busting my life getting Rank 14. But once i saw the Dark Portal as the TBC login screen i was incredibly shocked and had to start playing. But Wrath took it to another level.. everything was well written/scripted and dialogue/lore wise was excellent.. and raiding was fun and easy. you could easily make ur own raid and pug simply every week, you didn't have to stand up to no expectations whatever. Own time Own target.
This was when the game was legit. They should have never made WotLK. Back in these days you had to prove yourself as a raider, and you had to follow directions to a T. TBC will always be the best expansion to come out of WoW.

@gnutsrocknroll I didn't like how refined it was, I missed all the fun bugs etc, but as a pvping mage, I hated TBC (though quel danas was pretty awesome) I prob would have liked it if I wasn't a mage and more of a pver though.

@naraku578 Might also want to remember the nerfs and how much easier it was to attain gear as the game progressed. ICC and TOC were pushovers from the beginning, in TBC however things started off hard and gradually were made harder so that more and more could do it.

I'll be the first to admit that I missed vanilla raiding. I was around for these days however and had a kael'thas kill and i gotta say... the fights in wrath really don't measure up... not really in terms of difficulty(dont care what ppl say.. H LK and algalon are HARD), but beauty and epicness. this fight bleeds epic. as do most fights in TBC. and I'm not saying that becuz of the music.
i stop playing after i finish TBC i only tried the WOTLk trial but i was really happy with BC i have really awesome gaming memories i wish i could play again but not possible right now.

God what is with all the QQ on these videos. Dont play if wotlk is omg so easy for you. Fact is 11million people still play the game. People are still getting better at it and progressing. And the Cata beta. So far as i can tell. The instances look alot better and take for then half a brain.
There was a lot of bad talk about TBC when it was out, but even that died down quite a bit. In my personal opinion it was a wonderful expansion and, while vanilla WoW will always be #1 in my heart, I loved some of the raids that TBC offered. Tempest Keep was and still is easily one of my favorite raids of all time in any game. Here's to the memories, and to the nights we spent on actual raids - none of this pugging Arthas crap.

Blizzard purposly over attuned that fight just so people wouldn't have access to algalon and when ensida cheated they told blizzard how they did it just so blizzard could fix it and nobody else had access to Algalon for 2 weeks the only guild was ensidia.

I think the new area's etc. are great. However the game has become to easy and "noob friendly" The resillience stats and 10/25 man PvE encounters killed the game for me.
ur both right. raids these days are made easy in ways and made hard in other ways. but unfortunately deargony13 raids are now based on reaction times only. its about moving out of the fire, moving into the frozen stuff, moving here, moving there, nuking thiss instantly, nuking that instantly, thats all it is now. there is no creativity. there is only reaction times :P

LOL SSC trash respawns and bugged boss encounters everywhere and the introduction of the legendary pvp breaker - resilience.
The only reason TBC seemed good is because WotLK is piss poor recycled content, I miss the old environments and loot system of early TBC though

I think the new area's etc. are great. However the game has become to easy and "noob friendly" The resillience stats and 10/25 man PvE encounters killed the game for me.

ur both right. raids these days are made easy in ways and made hard in other ways. but unfortunately deargony13 raids are now based on reaction times only. its about moving out of the fire, moving into the frozen stuff, moving here, moving there, nuking thiss instantly, nuking that instantly, thats all it is now. there is no creativity. there is only reaction times :P
