@papaj1m3 I will only concede that he's a better defender, but Rose has gotten better. Assists-wise, Rose is barely below Rondo this year. His speed and unique shot-style allow him to create chaos, letting his teammates get wide-open shots, easy rebounds, etc. Rondo isn't really a scoring threat. Every team's defense needs to be geared solely towards Rose because of what he brings to the game. Including his clutch factor, he's the more dangerous player. He just doesn't care about stats.

Rose was Top 10 in scoring AND assists. Rondo is more of a pure PG while Rose is this new breed of PG, and he's dominating. He outplays Rondo in all most all of their games (not to mention people like CP3). Even though the leage is shifting towards Rose-type PGs, you can say Rondo is the better PG, but not the better player.

Rose defeats rondo in scoring by far and of course rondo is a better passer but thats his playing style, D rose is a scoring PG, but his overall game is getting better, Rondo is a pass first but his scoring is getting better. At the moment, i give it to rose. His team is up there cuz of him and is putting up good numbers.

Offensively all Ronda looks to do is pass the ball, or get an occasional layup when the defense breaks down. Rose gets the full attention of the opposing defense at all times, carries the scoring load, and still manages to get around 9 assists per game, without even having any elite scorers next to him. Plus he shoots around 89% from the FT line which means you can count on him in crunchtime. Meanwhile Ronda shoots em like Shaq. There is no comparison between Ronda and Rose anymore. Sorry.

Ronda gets steals because he plays defense like a b*tch, gambling and reaching instead of moving his feet and staying in front of his man--like Rose does. That's a big reason why Rose blocked 51 shots last year compared to Ronda's 11. It is called fundamental defense. Rose is also bigger, stronger, quicker, and faster than Ronda, which helps considerably on defense.
