That was one of my favorite scene when Mac first came on. Anna kicked him with her knees and asked questions later. To me they are/were more then friends. They just didn't want to admit it.
For the most part I have always preferred these two as friends, however, I do love the scene at the lake with Mac where Anna runs and jumps into Robert's arms...love it, love it, love it!
