So it turned out to be that you are wrong. Forget the sales. It took off and went the places one could not imagine. This seems like a good place to pose the question: iPad & iPod touch supposedly run the same operating system. If this is true then why aren't all iOS applications "universal" apps by default? For example, you code an app for Mac OS X and it runs on MacBook Air or iMac. You can't make a "MacBook Air only" app. If the software on an iPod touch can say "hey i'm an ipod touch - no ipad apps allowed" then it can't be what runs on an iPad.
