I've watched the entire series but I've never seen the sequence between 0:13 and 0:28. The animation is amazing! Was there an animated movie I don't know about or was it the opening sequence in another country or what? Where is it from!? I must know!!
@spymaster2 You can't compare this to the original song because the original just rocked. When I first it, I thought "Wow. " The song amazing, not just with the instruments but with the vocals and harmonies as well.
you are so right! i always wondered why no one was breaking down her door to give her a music contract!!! Excellent! She could have broken down many of the barriers that asian performers have had a soloist carrer took off...
Didn't The Party perform this on Club MTV with Downtown Julie Brown as the host? I'd kill to see that performance. I remember my sister had recorded it and I would watch it for literally hours a day. This song totally brings me WAAAAAAAAY back!!
Just type in Dokken then "in my dreams". They were a hair metal band, but their version sounds more powerful. It's a great song. Plus, they were also the one's who wrote it.
Oh yes they're both good versions, and I'll give Dokken credit for writing a great song, but... The singing is much better in this version, (after all Dee Dee sings on broadway now) Plus I personally like this type of song better, I was never the "rocker" type.
Not necessarily, but If a song I like happens to have been created in that way, then so be it. Just because a song uses what you personally call "actual instruments" does not make it automatically better then one that uses a synthesiser. In the same way, the original version of a song is not automatically better then a remake. This version, as compared to the Dokken version is, in my opinion, a prime example of that.
The Party were terrific. I still think Albert Fields or 'Indiana Jeune' as he's known on 'My Space' is one of the most talented vocalists I've ever heard.

I like both versions. I did big hair in the 80's and glow sticks in the 90's, lol.

Why is nobody saying ANYTHING about how mind-bogglingly odd this whole juxtaposition is in the first place!!! I can't be the only one.

C'mon, it's a good version and the original. At least they were the ones who wrote the song. Plus, George Lynch's guitar solo kicks ass.

What kind of song do mean? The kind without any actual instruments and just synthesized beats?
