@gsxrpik That does depend on the car (mainly the weight, I'd bet you a z06 with 700whp would keep up with a liter bike) and the dyno. 700whp on a dyno dynamics is usually 84 or more hp lower than a dyno-jet. Dyno dynamics read 12% lower, sometimes more. So as you can understand 650whp or 700whp on a low reading dyno is a huge difference than on something like a dyno-jet.
Especially when you get to number inflation on the internet, 650whp can be on a real dyno 500whp.
I find all these comments hilarious. That's my 6R and my roommate on the 10R. For the record that Supra made 675 whp at 18psi on pump gas however that night he turned up the boost to 22lbs so you can figure about 710 atleast and he had drag radials. My bike only made 105-106hp or so, and the 05 10R only makes 160hp. Good bunch of guys and a fun (although damn cold) night. For those who didn't notice, take a look at my headers, you can see them glowing through the slit in the fairing!

Unfortunately,it is plagued with recalls,Mainly becasue Kawa rushed.(1 yr. to completely re-hash a bike just isnt enough time)

@MIT2004 and GOD we made it look like a tranny car=) it was imbarresing for our friend when we stoped to verified the race and data logger (V-box) i actually taught the car stood a chance because of it`s insane torque but even in high roll-on NO CHANCE IN HELL...since this bike was only geard for 238.9kph (148.445mph) we would show when the car was abel to pull on us @ top speed but the truth was: i was so far a head that the car couldn`t catch us because we ran out of road hehe=)

600ish hp depending on the weight and power curve will beat a 600. But for a 1000cc+ yea you need 800+ whp. This is with the average joe of course. A bikes potential anymore is mostly hindered by the rider.
I don't know where you heard they race bikes professionally...but there's no way in hell the guy riding the 600 races professionally. I raced at the club level professionally and can tell you with 100% certainty at least that rider doesn't. For one, there's no reason to use the clutch if you're in a full-blown race. It's obvious he is by the way the bike jolts at shifts. Two, it seems like he's launching at around 5krpm...which even for a ninja is low.
some bikes dont even need modded to piss all over there modded cars , Racing a standard zx 10 and zx6 just shows you how much horse power you need in your car to stand a chance against a standard zx6 lol .
My uncle has a zx10r with Akropovic exhaust system, K&N filter kit. It puts out around 210bhp. His kid got a zx6r. With me on the back, he easily pulled away from the zx6 even at "start" speeds around 200km/t / 120mp/h. The zx10r is an insane machine! Don't think I'd want one, I'll prolly just end up killing myself. It has 1 prob. Low end performance. Its allmost impossible to keep at 50km/t / 35mp/h. It just wanna go fast :D

i had (yes i sold it) a black 2006 zx-6r w/ a full ti akrapovic exhaust, powercommander III, euro tweak, custom map and let me tell you...that bike would be right next to this supra this whole time if not ahead....what a hell of a difference all that made. but so did my wallet lol ;-P

A carbed 600 top speed will stay with a FI bike all day long. A carbed bike has just as much top end as the same engine with FI. The only difference is on the bottom end, where the FI comes into play. The reason why most FI bikes are faster then carbed is weight of the bike, the advancement in engine technology meaning more HP then the previouse years motor. More Revs, better Fuel mapping and again weight. Most carbed bikes never utilized alluminum frames. Thats about 40-50lbs of extra weight

I dont know about "many" and I did say street legal. Straight out of the dealer, a zx-10 is factory restricted to 189mph. Bypass the restriction and 6th gear will get you to 218mph. Change your sprockets for more top end speed, throw on a turbo kit, you can hit about 230-240mph.

i would! i used to love to run against my friends 08 gsxr 1000 on my 636, he had a good 80 lbs on me and i gave him a run for his money every time up til 150 when my gears ran out he would blow by me. but now i have a 10r and wouldn't waste my time racing a 600 or a car with less than 1000 hp.

From a standing start it would be even worse for the car. Also, the bikes would do it all day. A TVR tried it a few times and needed a new drive shaft!

I believe that the people on "the car camp" (saying that bikes will be beaten if so and so), in real life never ever have gotten the chance to ride a fast bike. That was a fact for me. I thought turbocars were fast until i tried a CBR1000. All of a sudden, the cars were slow .

Watch a hundred of these videos and you'll see the same story over and over!!! In a highway roll race, it's going to take about 800 whp to hang with a 1000 cc or larger modern sportbike (stock) assuming two drivers making no major mistakes. 900 whp and up is a loss at the top end for the bike, less than about 700 whp and the car never makes up for the jump the bike gets early on unless you're racing for 2 miles or something since the bike is going to top out around 180-186 mph. actually ill take down a veyron pretty easily, it makes 1000hp at the crank so thats more like 850-880 at the wheels...not a lot. Plus the thing is,, out on the road, highly modified cars only race lightly modified bikes that just have breathing mods at best. But when a bike is also modified to the ass, itll take down pretty much anything on four wheels that can be found on the open road.

gsxr1000 with a big bore race motor from kws motorsports in charleston, South Carolina. It now puts out more than 200hp at the wheel (just exactly how much is for me to know and you to guess), on pump gas btw, on race gas its even more powerful. And if you wouldve actually clicked on my name, you wouldve seen me taking down a car that makes almost the same power at the wheels as a veyron does at the crank. The veyron is not even in my league.

When I say a turbo busa, I mean a well tuned one. And it will take any car out. For your info, the fastest a turbo busa has ever hit in a standing mile is 270mph in Elvington, UK. Find me any car that can do that. Any car. And keep in mind that turbo busa is not one of the stream lined stuff. The Heffners are not even close!!!!!

depends on definition of superior, lee shierts running 262 is impressive, but try and road course that same bike with it's 200lbs of lead in the front end. it's a "streetbike" but it is stll purposebuilt and on race gas. Streetable is relative.
Believe me when I tell you Rich Yancy's bike is VERY VERY VERY streetable. Lower the boost and lose that 200lbs of lead for the streets. It wont hit 262mph but Im very sure it will still do 250mph and more on a longer stretch of road. Now that's streetable. The Ducati Desmosedici is also purpose built but do some alterations and it becomes as streetable as a stock 1098... you feel me?
oh really capable of cruising across the country filling up anywhere and repeating those speeds, I doubt it. how much is c-16 a gallon? I have no doubt that a 350whp bike is capable of some 230mph speeds but the reality is your getting close on what the bike can do on pump gas at that stage. About the last thing any rider wants to do is pop a motor at speed. 250mph on 91 octane(95% of pumps around town where I live is all they offer) will believe it when I see it
In that case, go check out SuperKaos videos... runs on pump gas and low boost. Then you will know what Im talkin about... 230 on a streetable bike is very very very good. It gets there faster than any car can to those speeds...

@MIT2004 and GOD we made it look like a tranny car=) it was imbarresing for our friend when we stoped to verified the race and data logger (V-box) i actually taught the car stood a chance because of it`s insane torque but even in high roll-on NO CHANCE IN HELL...since this bike was only geard for 238.9kph (148.445mph) we would show when the car was abel to pull on us @ top speed but the truth was: i was so far a head that the car couldn`t catch us because we ran out of road hehe=)

I don't know where you heard they race bikes professionally...but there's no way in hell the guy riding the 600 races professionally. I raced at the club level professionally and can tell you with 100% certainty at least that rider doesn't. For one, there's no reason to use the clutch if you're in a full-blown race. It's obvious he is by the way the bike jolts at shifts. Two, it seems like he's launching at around 5krpm...which even for a ninja is low.

My uncle has a zx10r with Akropovic exhaust system, K&N filter kit. It puts out around 210bhp. His kid got a zx6r. With me on the back, he easily pulled away from the zx6 even at "start" speeds around 200km/t / 120mp/h. The zx10r is an insane machine! Don't think I'd want one, I'll prolly just end up killing myself. It has 1 prob. Low end performance. Its allmost impossible to keep at 50km/t / 35mp/h. It just wanna go fast :D

Most new bikes are fuel injected. As far as being faster I don't think that's what determines speed. It all comes down to HP, torque, weight.

A carbed 600 top speed will stay with a FI bike all day long. A carbed bike has just as much top end as the same engine with FI. The only difference is on the bottom end, where the FI comes into play. The reason why most FI bikes are faster then carbed is weight of the bike, the advancement in engine technology meaning more HP then the previouse years motor. More Revs, better Fuel mapping and again weight. Most carbed bikes never utilized alluminum frames. Thats about 40-50lbs of extra weight

I dont know about "many" and I did say street legal. Straight out of the dealer, a zx-10 is factory restricted to 189mph. Bypass the restriction and 6th gear will get you to 218mph. Change your sprockets for more top end speed, throw on a turbo kit, you can hit about 230-240mph.
I agree with you though. The cars that can hit a higher top speed have a shitload of money invested and they do probably live in their mom's basement. lol

look at the power to weight ratio of a veyron it has about 650 BHP per tonne.
a standard Ducati desmosedici RR has 200bhp which makes it about 1300BHP per tonne

Watch a hundred of these videos and you'll see the same story over and over!!! In a highway roll race, it's going to take about 800 whp to hang with a 1000 cc or larger modern sportbike (stock) assuming two drivers making no major mistakes. 900 whp and up is a loss at the top end for the bike, less than about 700 whp and the car never makes up for the jump the bike gets early on unless you're racing for 2 miles or something since the bike is going to top out around 180-186 mph. actually ill take down a veyron pretty easily, it makes 1000hp at the crank so thats more like 850-880 at the wheels...not a lot. Plus the thing is,, out on the road, highly modified cars only race lightly modified bikes that just have breathing mods at best. But when a bike is also modified to the ass, itll take down pretty much anything on four wheels that can be found on the open road.

gsxr1000 with a big bore race motor from kws motorsports in charleston, South Carolina. It now puts out more than 200hp at the wheel (just exactly how much is for me to know and you to guess), on pump gas btw, on race gas its even more powerful. And if you wouldve actually clicked on my name, you wouldve seen me taking down a car that makes almost the same power at the wheels as a veyron does at the crank. The veyron is not even in my league.

When I say a turbo busa, I mean a well tuned one. And it will take any car out. For your info, the fastest a turbo busa has ever hit in a standing mile is 270mph in Elvington, UK. Believe me when I tell you Rich Yancy's bike is VERY VERY VERY streetable. Lower the boost and lose that 200lbs of lead for the streets. It wont hit 262mph but Im very sure it will still do 250mph and more on a longer stretch of road. Now that's streetable. The Ducati Desmosedici is also purpose built but do some alterations and it becomes as streetable as a stock 1098... you feel me?

oh really capable of cruising across the country filling up anywhere and repeating those speeds, I doubt it. how much is c-16 a gallon? I have no doubt that a 350whp bike is capable of some 230mph speeds but the reality is your getting close on what the bike can do on pump gas at that stage. In that case, go check out SuperKaos videos... runs on pump gas and low boost. Then you will know what Im talkin about... 230 on a streetable bike is very very very good. It gets there faster than any car can to those speeds...

send me a link in a private message, I looked can't find it. Do you get me about streetable though? Race gas is my definition of not streetable, sure you can go home to your garage or your friends, but you can't haul ass across country with those tunes in mind. Not to mention is damn expensive.
