Would you say that getting a HDMI to VGA converter cable affects the resolution?

Hello, I got the same monitor and I have my PS3 connected via DVI. Why is it that games like COD: Black Ops look really blurry in-game, but HD looking in only cutscenes? Also, Videos and the PS3 XMB Menu truly look 1080P. Well, I heard that monitors do not have an upscaler built in like TV's do, so Can I use an HDMI to VGA Video converter Adapter to my monitor to be used as a third party video upscaler? Will it fix the BLUR?

@CerealzTheDude Seriously, your games aren't pixelated or anything? Why does COD look so pixelated with this monitor for me?! My HDMI to DVI Adapter is an 18 pin, but I heard there isn't a difference between 18 and 24 pins if the resolution is only going to be 1920x1080.

@zTortures you change the video settings to 1080p? Also VGA is analog and not digital like DVI so you have blur

how did you connect your ps3 to the monitor ive got the same 1 but im having problems .ive got a dvi to hdmi cable. when i connect it nothing shows up the screen just blinks all the time

@Velkonz you need an HDCP compatible cable because the monitor and PS3 are HDCP compliant.

hey i connect my xbox to it with a HDMI to DVI cable and the picture quality is bad, It's at a 1920x1080 resolution and everything.. what do you think is wrong?

Was using my 42 inch hdtv (also from newegg black friday sale.. $540 DELIVERED last year!!), but alas, my darling girlfriend does not appreciate watching crysis, mount and blade, sc2, etc nearly as much as she does watching her television shows.. ;)

Hi guys, I have a question, maybe you can help me as I am not as experienced as you are. I got an ACER P216HV couple days ago and it is connected to my laptop through the VGA after the laptop screen went bye bye. Now I realized there is a tiny pixelation whenever I am watching a movie or dragging a window or scrolling a web page. It is like a fine screen on the moving area. Can any one tell me if he came across anything like that before? can I have a fast reply so I send it back if it is not ok

Because its an LCD monitor. LCD monitors/TVs doesnt have that refresh flicker that CRT monitors/TVs have. Its not the camera its the monitor :P

I got a 23" VIZIO led, i use it for my pc, ps3, and 360. has every connection you would want. Downside is it was $300. Think i might pick up one of thoes acer's just for the pc. can never have too manny monitors, lol

@IIIyasviel as long as it doesn't have integrated graphics, you should run WOW fine, i don't know about FF, if you talking about FF14 you may have some issues
