I got mine and the clip had some play, I tightened it a little and snapped the allen nut, now the nut is stuck in the knife and just the head came off. I emailed SOG I hope they send me a new nut. Weak..
are assisted openers illegal in virgina because i was thinking about geting a SOG with S.A.T. and the laws are pretty confusing when it comes to the difference between switchblades and assisted openers
i hopped on bladeforums and posted a thread hopping some1 would know and a LAPD weapons and wht ever officer told me he looked through the va law book an its ok where a/o's are genarly not considered switchblades :)
@ApocalypticRedIX Not true. I checked with my Local PD,Highway Patrol, Sherrif, Homeland Security, ATF, DEA, M16, Mossad, NSA, SVU, Knights Templar, VFW, and my mother.
You all had problems with a loose blade I see, my blade was too tight. When I first openend the knife I had to push it with my thumb. First I thould that the SAT didn't work but I turned the screw a little loose with a special screw driver and now it opens in a flash.
Nice review I have the same knife with the black TiCN blade coating. Also the clip is blacked out so its really hard to notice in EDC (every day carry). Also I had the same thing when I got this new, noticing the blade was a bit loose (side to side) as opposed to a Buck or other which is real tight when open. But this lets it move free with the assisted open so I never adjusted it and it hasn't changed, good so far.
I got this knife but was a little disappointed with the spring assist it just feels to slow. I also have a D'Allara but don't care for the ball lock but Spyderco is my favorite company and my edc is a mini manix, the thing is a friggin tank
I didn't think the flash II was too slow, but doesn't open as quickly or as solidly (probably because of the zytle handle?) as the Nitrous system from BM.
I will do a video when it arrives. Can't wait. Do a video on Manix, I might get it, or the Chinook...kind of expensive for me, I pay about $60 more than in the States.
i think this knife is pretty cheesy and junky. for 30 dollars you can get much better folders.

Not in most of New England friend, please check local knife laws before you carry. This knife is over 3 inches long, Thats illegal in Boston
marksiwel 2 years ago
Thats pretty understandable. Connecticut's limit is 4 inches

You are right about the safety on the Flash II.
Yesterday, the safety on my Flash II engaged on a practice draw from my pocket, preventing the blade from coming out. Not good.....
This weekend, I'm going to take my Flash II apart and see if I can remove the safety or lock it open mode.

saw ur link on BF.
mine developed lateral blade play within a few hours of getting it! any way to fix it?
ieatsuka 4 years ago
Not sure how to fix lateral blade play. I would contact SOG and see what they say.

Poor review. Does not mention type of blade, how long it is, weight of the knife. Completely overlooks the bare essentials.

you can easily look those up on google.
