  • Jeez, Maude you already buried two husbands, ain't that enough killing for ya? LMAO!!!

  • I share my birthday with Bea Arthur, along with Senator John Conyers, Dennis Rodman, and Stevie Wonder.

  • Archie, you can have your chair back don't move around too much. You'll crush your brains!I'm leaving this house!LOL

  • I am usually on Maude's side of political matters, but I felt kind of sorry for Archie Bunker in this clip...

  • What type of accent does Archie and his wife have? Do people still talk like that?

  • @blktenor Brooklyn accent and yes they do.

  • @blktenor yes people still do

    Archie is more Brooklyn

    and Edith is more Queens

  • @TheSapphireDragon1 cool. I love that aspect of our country, the many different accents.

  • I miss Bea. What a classy lady.

  • Bea Arthur was so funny. We don't have funny ladies in entertainment anymore. I'll take Bea, Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, and Vicki Lawrence any day over these plastic barbie dolls with no personality.

  • @RetroJenny I'll take Bea, Estelle, Betty and Rue any time of day over any of these tupperware branded personalities.

  • 1:50 i think Carroll almost lost it there lol.

  • Bea Arthur was one of Hollywood's greatest actresses!

  • Bea Arthur was something else. She was the perfect foil to Archie, a perfect casting job. She always gave her parts everything she could. That's why we love her and continue to enjoy her. There may not be another quite like her ever again. She was indeed, something really special on television!

  • Bea Arthur and Carrol O' Connor, the best of both world's.

  • Singing Stormtrooper! LOL!!!

  • "You're common" And the Lionel Crabb reference is so loaded... damn that Bea.

  • "You're common"

  • Even thou I am 19, I enjoy this show and shows like M*A*S*H, Sanford & Son and Good Times because this is great televison. I wish people my age would watch shows like these because they are alot better then most of the crap on TV now. Even thou they sometimes touched on touchy issues like Rape, Sexual Preference and Racism you still learned. And Carroll O' Connor, Bea Arthur and Jean Stapleton are three of the best actors ever

  • @3fan4eva Some shows are still good like Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men.Most shows nowadays are crap tho.SNL to me hasnt been funny since 1995

  • @3fan4eva I am you age! I'm 19 and I love these shows as well. I love shows from this era, back when writers could write and actors could act.

  • The scene where Archie and Maude are arguing about FDR is a bit edited which I know because of time constraints, but as they continue after Archie talks about Elenore Roosevelt they start to argue about World War 2 and FDR's role in that and eventually Archie says "I don't want to argue with you no more Maude...AND I GOT MY CHAIR BACK!" as he quickly sits down with a smug look on his face...

  • I love it! I miss great T.V.! Two great performers!

  • bea arthur is a cool purson =)

  • How I miss B ea Arthur, what a wonderful actress!! May she rest in peace.

  • Cream of Wheat with cheese? Boy, Maude sure hated Archie, huh? ^_^

  • GOOD MORNING, GOOD MOOOOORRRNING, GOOD MORNING, GOOD MORNING TO YOU!!!!!!!!!

  • "I heard ya. So did every moose in Canada." The chemistry between Maude-Archie characters was HILARIOUS!

  • "You're common" LOLOLOL

  • compacted wisdom tooth ha ha

  • she was the best

  • Archie: " I heard ya......so did every moose up in Canada!"

    ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!

Maude: "Now you can either come to the table and eat, or you can lie there and feed oof your own fat!"

    Brilliant episode, the best!!!!!!!

  • @Annarocks1969 That quote that Maude made to Archie about the Cream of Wheat with Cheese is Hilarious:

"Archie, you can either get up and eat breakfast, or lie there, feeding off your own fat. And if you choose the latter, you could probably lie there for months."

  • Hilarious.. I remember watching this episode as a kid... laughing my ass off. I LOVED Maude! This was really a ground-breaking show in the early 70's...talent abounded! What ever happened to tv? It truly blows today..

  • '70s series like The Jeffersons, Rhoda, Good Times, What's Happening, All in the Family, Maude, and Sanford and Son are the best. TV today sucks. I'm so sick of reality-TV junk.

  • @atrocchia The 70s series were excellent and the 80s were pretty good too. You had The Facts Of Life, Gimme A Break, Mr.Belvedere, Alf, 227, The Golden Girls, Hill Street Blues, Family Ties, Different Strokes, The Cosby Show and many more.

  • man it is SUCH a shame Bea Arthur died! She was SO sharp, funny, witty & talented!

  • It would 've been cool to see MAUDE and

ARCHIE go ait one more time and then

come to terms with other after EDITH's

passing. If only the made a special one

hour show of MAUDE returning after the

    passing away of EDITH.

  • "Cream of Wheat and cheese???!!! Wrong again MAUDE!" and "I hoid ya...so did every moose up in Canada." Priceless. What if they had made Maude Archie's wife, instead of Edith? Think it would've worked over the long haul? Two Hall of Fame actors going at it, toe to toe, every week? Wow.

  • Chemistry between Carroll O'Connor & Bea Arthur: A+++++

  • So funny!! Love Maude!!

  • who is maude supposed to be related too?

  • Edith. Maude is Edith's cousin.

  • What the hell happened to network TV?

  • :It's light - but it binds!!!"

    ROTFLMAO!!!

  • 'This country was ruined by Franklin Delano Roosevelt!'

    'You are fat!'

  • Video gems like this one should be testament to how good TV USED to be, instead of the 98% crap the Networks pass off as programming in today's world.

  • your right but you know why ?all the good ones are dead not enough charectors left in this society everyones zombied out on video games etc

  • RIGHT ON MAUDE!

  • damn... <3 I love her

  • The only person Archie Bunker was afraid of..

  • i Agree you hit the nail on the head.

  • We truely lost the best, goodnight pussycat.

  • Maude's blistering comments! Ouch! LOL.

  • "Now u can ethier come to the table and eat or u could lie there and feed off your own fat"...lmao

And she was such a wonderful person, not to mention an extraordinary actress!! We'll all miss you!! Thank you for all the laughs!! And of course, Thank You for Being a Friend!! • one of my favorite All in the Family episodes

  • thid was great. "Cream of wheat with cheese. It's light. But it binds."

  • Great clips

    RIP

  • may Rest In Peace with Bea Arthur-1922-2009.

  • Thanks, that was priceless!

  • One of the best episodes of All In The Family ever. Norman Lear did Bea Arthur a favor and got Ms. Arthur her own show.

  • Another legend of classic years of television, gone. :(

    RIP Archie and Maude

  • So Good, So Good!!

  • God Bless her, I absolutely love Golden Girls, I'd never seen her on this show as I just watch reruns of GG but she is hilarious!

  • I wonder what Archie and Maude are aruging about now ..... we miss you both!

  • Gotta love Maude Finlay....she was the only woman who could put Archie Bunker in his place. Thank you Bea, for giving us this funny, intelligent, assertive, innovative character. I can honeslty add another verse to your theme song: Bea Arthur puts feminism on TV/Didn't care what the Man said.......

  • this is great. bea arthur will surely be missed. does anyone know why the press didnt cover the story of her death as much as that of estelle getty's?

  • When stars die on the weekend, most shows are not live so on Monday is when you'll see all the tributes. I'll be watching them all for this great comedy icon. R.I.P.

  • She was fantastic

    God bless here

    Thanks for the post

  • Where the years go is beyond me.
