  • I liked Final Fantasy 13, and 13-2, which somehow manage to make its way to my favorites, until I went through my ps2 games and remembered I had the Xenosaga Episodes. Honestly, I wished II didn't go so bad that they ended at III, but, if they were putting together money to remake all three onto the newer consoles (which they won't... Ever... Unfortunately...), I'd rather have them point that funding towards Xenosaga IV.

  • dat ass

  • Dammit how I love this game and why am I spamming all Xenosaga videos with this comment. somebody tell me XD

  • The 1 Dislike is a Gnosis...

  • WE WANT XENOSAGA EPISODE 4!!! 3 EPISODES IS NOT ENOUGHT!!! I mean come on? Xenosaga 3 was like the shit, a lot of shit hasn't been answered on this story! Like WTF happened after they start looking for the Lost Jerusalem? Goddamnit..

  • @unthunder22 LOL square soft funded the xeno team to make a 7 PART SERIES, i repeat 7 FREAKING PARTS!, and you knwo what happen,,,, spirits within failed, bankcruptcy and caused the funding cancelled,, now xeno team went to namco, and since namco had limited budget for it, they could do only 3 parts of it, so we got this premature ending,,, fantastic T____T

  • @xwulfd I wouldn't call that an ending... I'd call that a beginning to the next game ; P

  • @mewimi

I have to agree. It just leaves you wanting more. I want to know what happens next.

  • @xwulfd Actually, we only got 3 parts because people whined about the battle system for Episode 2 and it didn't sell well, which dropped the funding required to make game 4-6.... though I'd have through 3 with as amazing as it was would make up for it. Either way, Battle system in 2 isn't bad at all if you learn how to boost properly, use the right elemental imbues for weapons and chain properly

  • @yamibalus I would own a current-gen console if they made sequels to this game :(

  • @MoonJung82 There won't be.

  • @MoonJung82 It's like what Square said about Star ocean: There will be no more new star ocean games, story wise.

  • @xwulfd Ether way it's better to have a masterpiece nearly half asked rather then not come out at all. Xenosaga trilogy all together is my #1 RPG of all time. The xenosaga trilogy not only showed what RPGs are meant to be, but it shows how todays RPGs are majorly flawed. I'm very disappointed with Final Fantasy now due to 12 and 13 because they are mediocre compared to the previous ones. FF10 was by far my most favorite out of the bunch next to 8 and 7 (seven was good but wayyy overrated)

  • play this song and a new world 2 .. at the same time .. lol.. the music sounds as if they were one together.. sounds pretty good though it does have a few outta sinc flaws but try it tell me what you think

  • Fu*kin EPIC!!!!!!!!!

  • One was incredibly easy, especially once Jr. got bored of playing fair.

Two made me rage at the design changes, lack of KOS-MOS, KOS-MOS' voice actor being changed to sound like a kid, Shion deciding to dye her hair within the minutes that technically passed between the games, MOMO's bow that she somehow pulled out of her ass.

Three restored my hope in the series, but it was sad to see it all end.

    HD REMAKE NAO!!!

  • @dontknow511 One was easy with just KOSMOS. She never played fair

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that plays in Xenosaga III at the home menu. It's a soft, slow melody.

  • That music was the only good thing about this game. Shame, it had a good start with the 1st one

  • @phaseshifter3D well i did not like the normal battle music in this one in episode one the music rocked and the thing with the third one is the song is like happy and makes u want to dance and no one moves and it does not sound like a battle music now bosses battle music where awesome XD

  • I think without Erde Kaiser Sigma, this game would have been a lot different as towards the ending of the game the enemies were getting WAY too powerful and you were gaining power way too slowly.

  • @Romalian Lol, what? Erde Kaiser Sigma breaks the game! There's NOTHING in the game that deserves its use: you can finish off the final boss with one use.

Really, the game should've been MUCH MUCH harder.

  • @Bryantzerox Oh hell no. I remember towards the end of the game I was hoping to god my enemies would be human because once you fight anything Machine related, their HP is so ungodly high that the battle just draaaaags on and I hate that. It honestly ruined my motivation to beat the game normally because the enemies on Michtim were just fucking annoying and took forever to kill.

The problem with the game was the characters levels and skills didn't power up high enough to match the enemies power.

  • @Romalian "The problem with the game was the characters levels and skills didn't power up high enough to match the enemies power"

By that point in the game, you should have some of the Master Skills.

You're telling me that Blood Dancer, a skill that more than doubles your attack (maybe even 3x), isn't enough? With the Hilbert Effect, D-Teneritas and Blood Dancer, you could take away about 30-40% of the Zarathustra's HP in a single hit.

"A bad workman always blames his tools."

  • @Bryantzerox I certainly hope you're not telling me that I suck at RPGs... I'm not saying it's HARD, I'm saying they're just annoying as shit to deal with.

  • @Romalian The things you were saying gave me the impression that you were calling the game hard, which I found pretty ridiculous. It sounded like you were saying Erde Kaiser Sigma was a necessity.

I never really found the enemies in the final area to be annoying. I always used the Hilbert Effect + Swordfish and other break-type moves to finish them off quickly.

  • @Romalian

I was having trouble too, and I tend to be good at videogames. Maybe I wasn't thinking "outside the box" enough or overlooking something though...It's been nearly 5 years, but I thought the hilbert effect only worked on the gnosis; it didn't work on machine enemies?

  • @themole90

It works on machines and gnosis.

The storyline behind it being that it draws Gnosis into even footing and cross interferes with the sensors of most mechanical objects.

  • @themole90 Each character had their abilities which were best against either: Humanoids, Gnosis and Machines. Hilbert worked on Gnosis effectively, but was crap against everything else. The problem I found with Xenosaga 3 was that... Machines had like 600,000 HP where the Humanoid that was with said Machine had 14,000 HP.

You know, they were reasonably hard enough to kill, whereas the Machines just took too fucking long. Lol

  • @Romalian Hilbert Effect works on machines.

  • @Bryantzerox I never said it didn't. I just said it was crap.

  • @Romalian and that is one of the reasons i like 1 more than any other because u used triangle and they did something square something not just a list of attacks that have different names but do the same thing >3>

  • @anime12374 Yeah but at the same time... you end up always using Triangle Triangle since it's easily more powerful than any move anything else.

I didn't care for it. I usually just did the Boost and made it so all I had to do was Triangle and Circle which did the Super Move.

  • @Romalian yeah, yeah still the 1 one to me was better at pretty much everything but the 3 one was awesome :)

  • @Bryantzerox Or just using Valkyrie like crazy is more than enough :P

  • @HallowedBolt I loved MOMO's Swordfish (:

  • @Bryantzerox MOMO using Swordfish made her my favorite character. She was at just the right height that most humanoid enemies would get punched right in the crotch. I had her punch Kevin in the balls over, and over, and over... it was very cathartic.

  • @HallowedBolt haha yeah XD

  • Omega ID. e__e

  • This totally fuckin'.. Gave me goosebumps. I can't believe that this game didn't get popular.. It's probably my favorite game of all time. And my personal favorite theme from it... May the memory of Xenosaga live on, forever.

  • dat ass

  • @TheLegendary353

    AWESOME

    thanks alot :D

  • "Voyager is smiling at Shion..."

  • this song make me laugth jejeje its awesome

  • I actually used this song in one of my WoW videos :-)

  • Does anyone know where I can purchase this soundtrack??

or even torrent it or something?!

cuz I just need to have this music with me so that I don't forget the amazing moments this game has given me!

  • @THEIDIOTCAT fetchmp3.com

  • @disturbedpark543 like the E.S battles alot of them actually but usually E.S boss battles like that extra boss battle that takes forever

  • @kitsunade k thanks, just havent played this game in forever

  • If I didn't know what game it came from this song would make me wanna stab a dragon in the freaking eye! Such an amazing soundtrack.

  • fight omega Id if u wanna hear this song for a while...cuz you'll be there for a while

  • this game is great, but when you get to level 70+ even the strongest enemies are weak. the game designers should have made one area where the enemies are hard to kill, even for really high level characters.

  • @EXPRJS then again, if you did the sidequests, you'd eventually just spam Erde Kaiser Sigma and kill everything. Even the final boss is a joke.

  • @trewerd then the enemies would be made immune to his attack. you know, no cheap wins. I never use Erde kaiser sigma or any final ether commands to make things more fun.

  • @EXPRJS have you tried Erde Kaiser?

  • This track is great.

Is there a track for the regular battle music? All the boss music seems to be accounted for but I can't find it on the soundtrack (not that it's all that spectacular anyway).

  • @onehandedgamer

well you should play xenosaga 1 & 2 before this one. for me the best qualities are the story & interesting characters. if your still not sure if you want the game or not you can check it out on my channel. i have a playhrough of all 3 games uploaded.

  • @bleach2501 You should look at the comments i posted on one of your Xenosaga 3 playthrough vids, its about a song.

  • oh man i wish i had never sold my ps2 i was SOOOOO close to beating the game!!!

  • @JDevilStudios yeah that was pretty dumb lol

  • @flik221 i was inside ables ark

  • @JDevilStudios Still had a decent way to go then. The final chapter of the game is about the length of two or three chapters put together, and it's got some of the absolute best E.S. boss fights in it too. But still that's just all the more reason why PS3 needs to be backwards compatible by default XP

  • @JDevilStudios If you have a super faaaassst PC, you can use the PS2 emulator called PCSX2 to play the game. With the saves you have! Send me a PM & I can offer some help in setting up.

  • #YAY!

  • originally it was supposed to be a 4 part game. which was why xeno 1 and 2 were kinda eh on story. and 3 was pack loaded with it. but it made 3 by far the best one. :)

  • @jdc421 actually, I heard it was supposed to be a 6 part game, but because it was such a contravercial game (due to the not so subtle Christianity elements), they had to slash it down to 3. Cause everyone knows that we can't have any imagination involving religion, cause that would make us heretics!

  • @PhazonSpear

The games got cut down to 3 because of bad sales after Ep II not because of Christian references, otherwise a company like Atlus would've went down a long time ago...

  • @SorikuXIII I think I heard that was the reason I just didn't know if it was true or not. Two was ok but 1 and 3 are better. And atlus made persona like one of my favorite rpgs so they better not go down now. lol

  • @ChaosBlade144 I say good for them putting Christian references in them. Anyway, Atlus is amazing. They better not go down. I mean, for one thing, Knights in the Nightmare was amazing. There's a lot of others, too.

  • @Pr0udDragon *caugh* Nocturne *caugh* So hard to find though.

  • @Joehop777 What's this about Nocturne? Sorry, that probably sounds really stupid. =/

  • @Pr0udDragon Nocturne is an rpg also made by Atlus and Shin Magami Tensai. Though I never played it but its considered a masterpeice. Also Dante from Devil May Cry is in it and you fight him a few times.

  • @Joehop777 Ah, never heard of it actually. Horror isn't exactly my type, though. =/

  • @PhazonSpear As others have said, it was cut down to 3 because of sales, not religion. And, ironically to your claim, the only people who complained about the religious aspects were atheists who didn't want any mention of a God to be in the game (evident by any gaming message board that discusses this game). Please remember for future reference, it's not always the religious devout who complain about religion in games / literature / shows / movies but extreme atheists as well.

  • @CronoDyne Those specific atheists are quite frankly morons (coming from an atheist). I fully enjoyed the religious themes in the game. They enriched the story so much and did it's job perfectly; to entertain. I can't be the complete minority on this.

  • @PhazonSpear

man im an athiest and even i wont defend that claim. it died to bad sales, which was a damn shame since it was an amazing series.

  • @PhazonSpear had you said Xenogears was influenced by it's religious tones i'd agree, but by the time Saga came out we've gotten past alot of it (not all) Xenogears on the other hand pushed alot of religion and psychology which hurt it's sales condemning it to become a cult classic and not really a mainstream legend. Xenosaga did poorly because of Episode II

  • This music always keeps me pumping especially when im fighting omega I.D xDD

  • Why the hell couldnt they have used this type of music in Xenosaga 2? thats why they failed at having enough funds to make Xenosaga 4, because they screwed up # 2 D: ...

  • Yeah #2's music was abysmal compared to #1 and #3's. It just wasn't memorable.

  • @MikeIronweaver56 What about Fatal Fight? And the Chase music?

  • @jioplip Well those are good, but a one or two songs can't redeem a whole score. Whatever, just my opinion.

  • @ultimatezero117 That really begs a question though....like you said, 2 wasn't as good (I still enjoyed it, but by comparison it wasn't as good) but...I almost wonder if they hadn't written the ending in part 3 if there would've been funds FOR a part 4.

  • The first 12 seconds are enough to make this song as awesome as it is anyway

  • Glad they left a few asskicking tunes in this game to break up all the sappiness. Jesus.

  • Now, this really sounds Xenosaga...

  • It makes me want to play this game all over again... xD

  • @izayummikiwi I just started it over about an hour ago. Definitely a great choice.

  • I fucking love this one. definitely one of my favorite boss battle themes

  • Incredible stuff, DEF!!

  • @Alcohogrifo oh yeah^^ the OST for this game is insane

  • @Alcohogrifo

hmm, KOS-MOS have a nice bottom.
