  • This too is my favorite scene in the movie. One of my favorite movies of all time. I saw this movie on Oct.16 "09" surreal beautiful movie. it had a profound effect on me. i saw this movie during an uncertain and scary time in my life. it gave me a strange comfort and was unlike any movie i had seen b4. it's like the movie was reflecting the fears i had at that time.

  • This scene always gets me...thanks for uploading.

  • Did anybody else notice that in the movie the song is in a higher key than the album? >.> Sorry to be a complete music nerd, I just wondered if I'm alone in this revelation.

  • @DarqueMyth yeah! I noticed that! Maybe they thought it fitted better with the actors voices or something?

  • @DarqueMyth Its because in some countries they film things in a slower frame rate to other countries, and so it often means they get sped up slightly when played in other countries, which usually results in an upwards pitch of one semitone. So technically you are hearing the whole movie one semitone higher than it actually should be, voices and all included.

  • @DemGamingVideos Wow, that's fascinating! I love learning new things about film, thanks! :D

  • @DarqueMyth I only know this because I always used to notice too and after quite a bit of looking found it xD

  • You know what it feels like when all your teeth are falling out really slowly and you don't realize and then you notice that...well, they're really far apart? And then one day, you don't have any teeth anymore.

  • ok i like + o-

  • 'and then one day you don't have any teeth anymore.'

  • this was my favourite scene and i love how the music kicks in

  • *sigh it's like that one memory you try to remember when you were a child... it all makes perfect sense what he said if you're a kid... now we all just think too much... i love this movie

  • I love this

  • Max Reynolds, the boy who plays in this terrific movie, is probably by far one of the most lucky people in the world. Cute, a great actor, and he got to play in Where The Wild Things Are. I'd say that's pretty lucky to me <3

  • @maddogstuff99 Max Records* . Hell, he deserved and oscar. AT LEAST.

  • I absolutely love the film and the book I always cry :') best story ever! I just don't really like the bit where max is in KW's stomach :\ lol

  • The ending of this movie made me cry :') Carol never got to say a proper goodbye :'( and when I hear this song I tear up a little this is my favorite movie and as a child it was my favorite story of all time :') this movie was just amazing

  • @peptobismal1994 This song also makes me real emotional to this day! It reminds me of the lost child inside myself and how we all feel so disconnected from one another. The movie got it right! Max's relationship with Carol was complicated and difficult.... do we ever say a proper goodby to that?

  • @ravenclaw67 exactly the way i feel :D

  • In my honest opinion this is the greatest movie ever made. it puts me in another place when i watch it, it makes me remember being a kid and not having a care in the world, not having to worry about the shit in this world today, just makes me feel free , i have seen this movie both high and not high and i have to say if you get a chance see this movie high.. it makes you feel that much more in touch with the child inside everyone. don't be afraid to let the kid inside of you out.

  • Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie a lot. But it was a lot darker then I expected it to be. I got the impression from the book that Max was just a little naughty. But in the movie, he has some serious problems. It was just... dark.

But I have it on DVD anyway. :D

  • @boxer4356 i thought the same too and i reakon each of the monsters represents max personality it wouldnt be one i let my four year old watch but if you really look into to you can see a whole new outline of this movie

  • amazing movie and book! if u haven't seen it, u r missing out. i always cry at the end though i have watched it tons of times. this movie touches our souls. :)
