  • that's awesome

  • Ray Gun!!!! I like that. Is it for sale?

  • can you change fire rate

  • @ThrasherContinue blaster core handles the single / full auto fire selector and the full auto fire rate is configurable in the SD card, as well as sounds.

  • that is kick-a

  • good work!

  • you are talking to much!

  • looks like a high tech hot glue gun

  • @fiercedeitylinkx this blaster has been indeed made out of a glue gun.

  • @irvinplecter oooh hooo hooo! an i knew it!!!!! :D

  • wow nice glue gun....

  • you like nightwish fuck yeah!

  • @blacklabeledheart indeed :-)

  • wow. lots of time into that thing.

  • seems your a big fan of patos heads

  • lol, I do have some more now :-)

  • So does it have a stun mode and like a disintegration mode?

  • visual and sound fx have been tuned so that it looks like the movie stun but it could mimick something else by changing the blinking parameters and sound (both changeable on the SD card)

  • @irvinplecter Oh thats very cool. I didnt get it at first but the blaster core is an IC control. Thats sounds very usefull. I like the talking Effect. Thats something I could see in the future. I think the blaster weapon in Judge Dred talked alot and had configuragble weapon payloads.

  • Another great product irv! Thank you! I'll be putting one of these modules in my own scratch-built E-11.

Question: Is it possible to configure multiple sets of LEDs on the barrel, perhaps each with a different animation or colour?

  • thanks ! the new (and current) version has a separate animation for the blaster ray propagation between the normal and stun mode. As for the color changing, it's already scheduled for the next version (BC III). For now I'm too busy, so I've postponned the design of the V3 firmware when I'll build my own scratchbuilt E11 blaster :-)

  • Great news! I'm sure when you first saw Pavelo's scratch-built E-11 it was exactly what you had intended for Blaster Core.

  • that's exactly that ! I mean, my grievous blaster was already using all the features but it's always great to see another fan made project that is on the same wavelength as the original projects !

  • haha...nice high tech glue gun...lol

  • lol, if only it could still apply glue :-) The stun mode doesn't even work on my daughter *sigh*

  • SO how does one acquire the product?

  • the blaster isn't for sale, but I make the electronic sound boards, check my website (and signup for the newsletter)

    Erv'

  • THat's what I was looking for.

  • isnt that just liek a toy gun :P

  • Have you considered utilizing this for more tactical "Lazertag" weaponry? I'm assuming adding the proper hardware to something like this wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

  • not in my plans but good point anyway ! I acutually think my unit can run in // with lasertag stuff !

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that just consist of an infrared LED (LIke your TV remote control) instead of an RGB LED at the barrel of the weapon and some sort infrared reciever for the target, wouldn't it?

  • yep for the emitter but the receiver isn't that simple. Period : you could just hook up the IR led + a carrier modulator in // with the color LED, then use standard lasertag receivers (worn on the body / vest)

  • haha you lost me this video to too high tech for me :P good job on the gun tho man!

  • sweet and i am your 9,900 viewer now thats sweet

  • Do you actually live in France, or are you just from France, other than that, nice blaster and you speak good English for someone from France.

  • I do live in France, thanks for the comment about my english, I'm trying improve everyday !

  • So how is living with your mother?((im jk thats pretty cool))

  • I'm french

  • this is a really cool prop. when I saw it I immediately thought it was a Hold-out blaster. I'd like to make some similar props, however I am unsure of the process and configuration.

the prop I want to build would have an unlimited source of energy, however it would have a heat rating. is this possible to be done? what all would i need to create a prop? how could I show a critical overheat using LEDs?

  • hi ! blaster core has something similar programmed in the firmware, the pitch of the sound is getting a bit lower when you get close to the end of the energy. Similar things could be programmed for overheat detection, like using a timer to measure the the time of use versus cool down time. I'm out of blaster core for now, but you can recontact me thru the website in 2009.

  • how much for it? i want to buy it!

  • not selling the prop, the sound module can be bought at the website (out of stock for now, new mini batch being worked out)

  • best weapon i hav ever seen on utube

  • thanks ! doing my best to still improve blaster core !

Check also Pavello77 on youtube, he has a stunning scratchbuilt E-11 using blaster core for sounds and light Fx.

  • Top notch SFX module for sci fi props! Well done.

  • wow ur pretty awesome do you make props for a living? becuz ur so awesome you could make stacks

  • thanks for the kind message, it's still a hobby but I sell my boards too.

  • model and module are 2 separate words you idiot, he wasn't trying to spell model.

  • wow sweet job man, tht rocks... I LOVE STAR WARS!!! ASK ME ANY QUESTION FROM THE EU UNIVERSE!!!

  • what is yodas name?

  • you spelled offence wrong

  • you spelled "offense" wrong.

    goddamn. you kids are bland.

  • hah that made me chuckle.

  • awsome gun, im going to make mine now, dude, u rock man!

  • Erv. you own all!!! Dont listen to the ignorant spammer people! Keep doing your thing!

  • thanks !!

  • wow dat's a cool blaster

  • I have my own house and basement, and yes, it's a recycled glue gun and custom electronics. Now get yourself a grammar book and repeat after me : "you ARE a fag". Good. Repeat once more. Great, you start learning about subject + verb + adjective sentence structure. Congrats !

  • how did you make it! and i want to see you shoot it!

  • thats kool and all but it looks like glue gun. othere then that its sick ass

  • nightwish fan :D

  • dude, ur stuff is amazing!

  • Wow,impressive work.Put a 200mw DPSS green Laser

in it to pop Ballons or burn Matches.

  • it's one ! :-)

  • that is the most amazing thing i have ever seen.

  • that is the most amazing thing i have ever seen.

  • cool duuuude!

  • I REALLY want to get hold of your Blaster Core.... Do you know when it will be ready?

  • I have some pcbs, but not time to assemble them for the moment. Stay tuned on the website !

    Erv'

  • Great Erv, i'm on the website everyday checking for updates. You are doing a great job. Keep up the good work!

You sent an email today to my friend Paul in Northern Ireland, we're both really keen to get this!! (There's 10 of us in total trooping around northern ireland for charity) so tring to drum up interest with the rest of the guys.

    All the best

    Neil

  • hey erv this is countdown from TCSS. When do you think you will have these boards available? Also when will the crystal focus be back in stock?

  • no idea, I have several thing to do before releasing the board. The CF is being slightly redesigned, that's why it's out of stock.

  • SWEET!!!!! Time to start making a blaster...

  • So lets talk money... how much for that Nightwish poster I keep seeing in your videos, so far your the only other person I know who listens to them!

  • lol :-) Yep, I'm quite a fan, even if I haven't been to their concert recently. I saw them really close at the Elysée Montmartre in Paris, a really small concert hall (I have the recording). Nightwish is a really pleasent music to listen to when building electronics ! (but I won't sell my poster, héhé, I'm sorry)

  • awsome erv, you are awsome. what else you gonna come up with?

  • Sweet! Darn, more of my Ns5 ideas already happening, hahahah.

And... yikes, too bad there weren't any plans for blasters in BOP III. Hmmm. Maybe I can think of something, lol.

  • ooo... so going in my E-11. I can ditch the Hasbro sound and stop worrying about battery options!

  • VERY NICE!

Erv! You are a genius! ;)

When do you think you might have these available? E-11 or DL-44 might be on the very near horizon for me now!

  • Great product! Looks like a really fun core module for a blaster unit. I'm betting that Novastar is going to chime in here soon and request super bright luxeon LED's all over it :)

  • NICE!!!!!

ERV people def want fx blasters, great your doing that now.

  • thanks !!! I don't think I'll be selling blaster per se, but I'll sell the board to make them, just like my saber core :-)

  • First View First Comment! Thats Awsome Erv,You and Novastar

Should Start Talking About Adding These Blaster's To BOP III

And Are You Going To Sell These Blaster's On Plecterlabs?
