@antonkikec German Opels started coming to the US market as Saturns...remember them? GM uses GETRAG transmissions (also built in Germany). So, there is a fine tradition of using German engineering to build "American" cars.
14 out of 17 models Toyota was suspended from selling for over 5 months... The average American car company employs 35 per 1000 Americans, the average foreign company 10 per 1000. American cars are actually more reliable than foreign cars now, any reputable car magazine will confirm that... I've bought American cars my whole life and will never buy a foreign car simply because I'd rather 35 per 1000 Americans employed than 10 per 1000. People buy Toyota's and then wonder why theres no jobs...
@stephenswickedcool You are so delusional.. Go ahead and buy your so-called Amercian cars. The Buick Regal and other GM's are built in China and Canada, same with Fords and Chryslers. Your numbers are so misleading because non-American car companies have a stronger presence globally so they have factories world wide. GM can barely sell their cars domestically so why would they have factories globally, thus have less foreign workers.
@AlphaDino Am I the delusional one? You just made an assumption based off of no facts. According to you, GM can barely sell their cars domestically so why would they have factories globally, thus have less foreign workers. Well, according to Level Field Institute, the average domestic car company (with only slight difference between each individual one) employs 39 Americans per 1000 while the average foreign company has 11 per 1000. Shut the fuck up, I'm tired of people like you bullshitting.
@AlphaDino You have literally no idea what you're talking about. Not A SINGLE GM car is made in China. GM has a North American clause in their paper work, and their cars are only built in America, Canada, and some parts in Mexico. I know this because I run numbers in my GM district. You need to stop spreading bullshit because you really have no idea what you're saying...
Dear commercial makers! BUICK NEVER HAS BEEN MADE IN GERMANY! And never will be. It looks too American and it never been on the Autobahn.
