Pretty good POV. While I agree that it looks like a lot of fun with all of the launch and airtime intensity, it also looks VERY rough. I've seen the official POV from the front of the train and it looks horrifyingly rough. I've also heard that the brakes suck, mainly due to how loud they are and how slowly and roughly they slow the train down. Other than that, I'd ride it!

Best launch coaster in the world. I've done them all. The only coaster I've ridden where you actually feel your face press against you. While Kinda Ka, Dragster, Superman head straight for the sky, Dodonpa begins its first decent - close to 100 mph when you hit the giant curve. Killer Mt. Fuji view on the second decent. The most intense airtime on the planet when you hit the top of the third drop. FYI - when test car shoots out, drop what you are doing and head for ride - avoid 2-4hr wait!

hahaha I find it funny how you put people down but it is you who doesn't know what you're talking about. Kingda Ka is the tallest and fastest in the world, at 128 mph and 456' tall, vs. Dodonpa's 107 and Steel Dragon's 318' or so.

So yeah, You're off by... 21 mph and 138'. You fail haha

actually they dont fail they win. the acceleration of dodonpa is 0-107 in 1.8 seconds. kingda ka's acceleration is 0-128 in 3.5 seconds, so I am guessing Dodonpa would be a better ride than Kingda Ka is a piece of crap anyway. The only good part of Kingda ka is the launch and it is so overrated

you cant rate or compare any coaster based on their first launch. kingda ka is still another 21 miles faster, and theres only a 1.7 seconds difference in acceleration. kingda ka is more intense and has an absolutely amazing tower and airtime hill, while dodonpa had no airtime hill, a boring turn that ruins all that energy and potential behind the speed, and KK's tower is definetly better than dodonpa.

The intensity comes from the rate of acceleration though; it's where the force comes from. By the time you're 1.8 seconds into the ride on Dodonpa you're going faster than you are on Kingda Ka because Kingda Ka's launch has another 2 seconds to go.

yeah the launch is better but i still think kk is better. shame that dodonpa had to be made by a crappy company. looking at the seats sometimes hurts. its so ugly. it would;ve been way better if it had been an intamin accelerator that went that fast. although im not sure if the hydraulic system is capable of doing that. im sure it is, but who knows?

kingda ka is the fastest in the sense it has hte highest speed.

if by fast you mean acceleration, then yes, dodonpa wins.

check out ring racer... it will accelerate to 134mph in 2.5sec when it comes out (still not as much G's as dodonpa though...)

@koreanman113 @koreanman113 smart guy, at the time I wrote that Kingda Ka was the tallest/fastest in the world. This was 2 years ago. Ring Racer is NOT the fastest in the world, as it still hasn't even been tested at its top speed of 134.8 (hence the asterix in my link). The fastest either way is Formula Rossa, which just opened and has a design speed of 149.1. Might want to get your facts straight before you try to prove me wrong, because I know exactly what I'm talking about.

It is 3 sounds, Do-Don-Pa and is the Japanese equivalent to Do-Re-Mi--except, Do-Don-Pa is not measuring pitch like Do-Re-Mi, instead Do-Don-Pa measures beats of a drum---there is a video game coming out called Patapon where you play the drum and one of the beats is actually Don hehe---it is meant to be rythmic--if you notice, while waiting in line, the beat gets faster and faster.
