very nice tribute- davey was my favorite driver -unfortunatly i got my first nascar tickets to my first race the day of his crash-so i never got to see him drive-i still watch nascar but have never had a favorite driver like davey scince then-never will
Thnxs 4 the vid. Now that I've managed 2 pull myself together. Serious cryin goin on here. My uncle reminds me so much of Davey I think thats why I always liked him. And then to see #3 in there w/him who was my 2nd fav. just 2 much!!! Excuse me while I get more tissues!!
I think Liz took him off the track for awile, but that was a year or so ago so Im not sure anymore. He has a fan in me if decides he wants to run a few when he gets older. You know the old man would be proud ;-)
I am from Hueytown, Alabama. My brother grauduated with Davey in 1979. I came out of Hueytown in 1986. I miss the Alabama gang. They are apart of what made Nascar what it is today. Davey Allison, Donnie Allison, Bobby Allison, Neil Bonnett and Red Farmer.........
he is the reason i watch nascar today. i was at a friends house in the late 80s and asked him what he was watching...he says nascar. i didnt know what it was but it only took me a race or two to say...this is cool. The black haveline car and his personality just hooked me. he will always be my fav driver , i just wish he was still here with his championships and im sure there would be at least two. god bless Davey and his family
Right there with you! He is the reason I became a fan and I still miss him to this day. There was something about him that I have yet to see any other driver, he was one of us
just watching the you tube clips and seeing the kind of driver he was makes you wonder how many times he would of been called CHAMP. he will always be a champ in my eye, from his personality on and off the track and his respect for his family. does his son robbie still race or is he out of racing now? best regards
A fitting tribute to a true racer. He was my favorite driver and died way too young. With his talent he may have been a cup champ many times. RIP Davey and Clifford Allison.
Bobby Allison, Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough, Harry Gant got me interested in Stock Car racing when I was really young, Davey Allison made me a fan for life....we will not see his like again I'm afraid. Rest in peace Davey.
Damn I can't believe it's been 15 years, I remember being at home and the news coming on and saying "NASCAR driver Davey Allison has been involved in a aircraft accident"
