@delt01 I am not 100% sure if in FT2/Milkytracker is possible to use VST plugins, I guess is not possible. Also the LFO filters I don't think that exists. Last time when I use FT2 on Win98/XP was somewhere in 2002-2004. There is no such a perfect tracker, all are great but everyone has a fav. one :) I use 99% Windows system, I have no idea how it runs on Linux, maybe I will try an install in Suse 11. I tryed FT2, Mad Tracker, Inpulse Tracker, Milky Tracker, Mod Tracker, Sream Tracker.
Ah, someone else is composing tracks with a beta version of a freeware music program, too. There's no easier way to do it than with Skaletracker! Unfortunately it only works with Windows XP and is not finished yet, many features are missing. It's a pity that it'll never get finished because the developer stopped his work on it. But for those who composed on Soundtracker, Noisetracker, Protracker or Fasttracker it's still great, because it's based on these programs and it's easy to get into it.
Sorry for the double post, but I would also like to say, well done on this tutorial, because you do not speak fluent English, but still you can understand everything you are trying to say.
my english sux :) I know, but I am trying to present some things from Skale interface screen to others, to help peoples. I will try to improve my speach in the future :)

Hello from Montréal, Canada.
...so between this, the original FT2, or Milkytracker - what are differences, advantages, etc... (especially for linux users)?

SkaleTracker was way ahead of its time, a true sequel to FastTracker 2. Even though it is no longer maintained, I use it still to this day.
