GIMP: How To Install Fonts (HD)

This has not worked and I did it using XP, it would have been nice if you showed gimp recognizing the fonts

Thankyou ^^ You helped quite a bit. The only difference is I didn't install it under Gimp, I went to my Computer > Cdrive > Windows > Fonts Thanks a bunch ^^

when i try to use the font it sais

also it doesnt even appear on the list of fonts with all the other regular fonts, what d i do?

it downloads but never shows up on gimp. what did i do wrong.

1) I clicked download by the font type.

2) I opened the file.

3) I clicked extract all file(s)

4) I click my name

5) Then Gimp 2.6

6) Then font

7) The "extract"

8) Then it shows up in the gimp fonts folder. But when I go to gimp it never shows up in the fonts

@ducktapeduck456 It seems like GIMP has a problem reading the file, assure that it is the right format, and if it is, just try reinstalling GIMP but save all of your fonts and then reinstall them after GIMP has been.
