I wanted to like this game so much but I just couldn't, it was just tooooo cheesy and stiff feeling to get into it.

That and the combat along with the menu system just was way too boring and unattractive.

If it fixed those two things and got rid of the dreaded "CD icon" while loading (that feels WAYYY too 90's for me) then this game could be great.

I'd rather just suffer with Two Worlds II and it's greatness but terriblness at the same time then settle for this which has to moo much negative.

It does make me wonder if Joe ever checked out other Blind Guardian stuff after this. I can't be the only one that found out about them because of this game. It's too bad the developer had to abandon it (in the U.S.) shortly after release.

Played this game, really dont see why some people like it, i found it dull and very forgetable, nothing special, wasnt even half way though the game (or so i guess, not entirely sure about that) before i got so bored i never played it again

normally i try to find the fun in any game i buy, but i cant always do that, (two worlds, sacred 2, MW2 and its clones, and so on) it was bland, forgetable and even the amount of content cant save it.

@xivalorix As far as I know, the bugs are fixed for the most part. Your loot shows on your character as you customize them with those items (limited to no customisation at character creation, but with the loot, it's all good).

Game's fun enough, you need to take some time though to understand how to play, though after that it's all pretty smooth.

Oh and, you can also get a flaming two-handed sword-guitar in the game.

My build is: 1 Tactics Lore 2 Armour Lore 3 Dual wield (keep this as full as possible) 4 Enhanced Perception (keep at least 1/2 your level) 5 Alchemy 6 Exalted Warrior Focus 7 Combat Reflexes 8 Toughness 9 Constitution 10 Damage Lore Combine those with +2 Enhanced Perception relics and you'll be finding the even more addictive Set Pieces roughly one every ten minutes or so. Don't forget to set your magic pickup to +1 star and jam on that LB every time you kill shit. Good luck.

Great review... i agree with you on a lot of points.

Check out a dual wield seraphim build... 60 hours into the game and 40 levels, I haven't died yet. Not once. Grind your survivor bonus to at least 60 by finding a kobold, leading it to an area where you are secluded....and going to bed. With a good hitpoint regen and a decent armor class, you shouldn't die, not even close and as long as you are in battle your SB will raise. You get 1/3 the SB as a %bonus to EVERYTHING..so its kinda important!!
