Hmmm... nice middle class white boys singing the blues. Not sure about that. "Woke up this morning and there was a slight nip in the air, oh man I've got the blues". Nah.

The point is I love every Pink Floyd album but each one is like a different band almost because they changed their sound so much! (Sorry I ran out of room last time.)
Awesome song one of their best instrumentals next to Mother Fore, Interstellar Overdrive, and Any Colour You Like. 1:30 is an awesome picture of the band.

Sign me up for just about everything, minus The Final Cut, which should have been a Roger Waters solo album. (This also helps to explain why he never had a strong solo career after leaving PF.)
Okay, you dumbass first of all the character Pink refered to Roger Waters (the guy wrote the album to symbolized the alienation, isolation, and insanity caused by a manic drug use and depression that the life Pink Floyd was living brought on).
Second of all, sure The Final Cut was techniacally a Waters solo album but who cares? It was awesome. Also you seem to be forgetting the fact that Roger Waters had quite a successful solo cereer especially in England.
The Final Cut was NOT NOT NOT the worst Floyd album... That belongs to Piper at the Gates of Dawn... not even Floyd if you ask me. Final Cut was brilliant, beautiful and very bold.
@larryoduncan I think that The Final Cut should be re-released as a Roger Waters solo effort, it had very little PF and lots of Roger Waters in it. That is why it is so depressing lyrically and bland muscially.
I agree that it was pretty much a Waters album... the other guys got NO credits for writing or vocals... but it is a VERY Brilliant album both lyrically and musically... It is NOT bland... depressing? yes very much... but I absolutely love it. I think thats why Gilmour and the rest went on without Roger... because they were tired of his maniacal ways... I dont blame them or him. They just spent too much time together.
@leenstl What you mean very little pink floyd? If by little you mean they recorded together then yes why not. Alot of those songs were written around the same time as the wall and animals.
What it means is that it was largely Roger and his misanthropic lyrics. The Final Cut had no tour unlike all other Pink Floyd albums of the time, who would want to listen to it in a live concert?
@larryoduncan Piper at the Gates of Dawn was great. It was one of the best psychedelic albums ever, but you're right, it was not really a Floyd album, because I consider Floyd to be Gilmour and Waters at the front.
it isn't just drug use dude.. try not to dilute the rest of the story: WAR, FATHERLESSNESS, OVERBEARING MOTHER, ABUSIVE AUTHORITY, HEARTACHE.............
It is hard to pick a favorite, but besides the obvious, comfortably numb, etc. I think Fat Old Sun is a definate fav of mine. But you're right, there are so many.
The roots of Pink Floyd, because they were kind of a blues band. Have a Cigar, and Money are blues songs when you listen

You prove yourself to be a moron by claiming The Final Cut was awesome, it was the worst album released as a PF album.
Also, you flunk the "Which one's Pink?" quiz, it is a line from "Have a Cigar".
