It's not that DuVall is a bad artist. It's just that he's clearly out of place singing this song and this isn't due to a lack of talent. This is due to the fact that the band should have died with Staley. As horrid as that sounds, this song has heavy lyrical attachment to Staley's addiction and Staley not being there to express the pain he created is almost tearing away the meaning of this song and others that DuVall has covered that were originally by Alice In Chains.

NOBODY gives a fuck if you don't like William!!!! He may not have the vocal depth as Layne, but he has a good voice and can hit octaves. Jerry chose this guy for a reason, and that is he is a unqiue vocalist and has his own style. Anyone who critisizes AIC and says they suck are obviously no longer fans and won't accept their evoulution, Layne would be proud of the tribute pieces they did for him I'm sure.
