how much did it cost to build that? I want to build a huge one someday for a tegu and some water dragons. were going to live in Houston TX so the weather shouldnt be an issue....
Dude, thank you for posting this! I have the same problem, a huge blue tegu spoiled by his own room, and now I've moved but I have my own yard so I might be building exaclty what you have. I have some questions for you that would help me a lot. Youtube won't let me type too much here so I'll message you.
man im 13 ive had all sorts of pets except reptiles but ive got my reptile licence and i want a lizard got any sugggestions of what i should start with other then beardys. btw ur tegu and the cage is mad
Nice cage but question . . . . What's the purpose of the big lock when someone can simply cut or rip the chicken wire and take the tegu . . .Other then that good enclousure
@Miros0885 Neighbors have kids. Theyve never come onto our proporty before, but if they did, and opened the cage and got hurt or let the tegu out, that would be very bad. It's more to keep people out than to keep people from stealing him.
I live in florida, where its warm enough most of the year for him to be plenty happy, and they hibernate 7 months out of the year anyway. He can handle temps dropping into the 30s for a few days. And it gets that cold maybe 4 days a year here.
Awsome cage! Now I am not a exspert on tego and bites or anything but I don't know which kind of animals rome where you live but I saw vid where a guy had a outdoor cage for his parrot and it got eatin by a raccon through small bars smalled than that so just be careful I would hate to see anything bad happen to him and you probably more you just built him a awsome cage lol!
@Ratsnake151 Ive heard of that happening with small baby tortoises, but id feel bad for any racoon that goes after chaco, he has enough bite pressure to remove a human finger. Or racoon arm. lol
@TheUFLacrosse Yeah, they can handle temps as long as its above 35ish. when it gets cold they will hybernate, and then you can just take them inside where he will sleep for 7 months. in south florida you may not have to bring him in at all.
it crazy but it sometimes snows were they are naturally from so they wil be ok year round in florida. agama international is up north of me and it gets pretty cold there and his stay outside year round.bobby hill from varnyard herps also keeps his outside year round. i will be putting a video of the outside cage that im building soon. you did a good job on yours.
@TheUFLacrosse I live in florida also, I talked to Bobby Hill from Varnyard Herps last year on the phone and asked him the same. Well he lives in north florida and keeps his outdoors year round.gets colder there than here in the winter. His hibernate for about 7 months outside in there hide.it snows where they are naturally from.we dont have anything to worry about. anymore questions just ask. I will be putting a video up soon of the one im building outdoors. if you want to see then subscribe.

@Baaarishino Don't you have to be 18 to get a licence?
xxtasha10xx 1 year ago
@xxtasha10xx in australia you can get a licence if your parents sign it and you just need your parents there whenever your buying a reptile
