It seems that life in Houston would be somewhat melancholy without Dr. Neil and his deadeye weathercasts (ok everyone misses here and there). And I live in Mobile! We'll miss you Dr. Neil! But come by the ational scene, on CBS everynow and then, to show the world how it's done. And good luck to Mr. Norman. You got Dr. Neil's endorsement, and as Paul Boesch used to say, "Mr. Norman is the man you can trust."
Dr. Frank is a national treasure. I have roots in Houston and Wichita and I can relate to his straight forward and accurate approach to the weather...especially hurricanes. I went thrugh several on the Texas coast includin Carla and Alicia.
Neil, it would be great to see you on CBS when the during the Hurricane season... you still have it.
As a child of the 1980s who lived in Rhode Island, and who was very interested in meteorology, I'll never forget seeing Dr. Frank numerous times on The Weather Channel and other national news outlets whenever a major hurricane approaches the lower 48 back then. I esp. remember seeing him on TV many times as Hurricane Gloria approached my state in September of 1985. He left an impression on me then, and I've never forgotten him. I hope you are enjoying your retirement, doc! :-)
Best wishes to Dr. Neil Frank. You have been Houston's "weather doctor" for 21 years, and you will be missed. Best wishes to you and your family, and enjoy your retirement in Colorado!
I miss the way he counted the cold fronts....the 18th cold front moved through the area today. I still miss him on Channel 11.

My dad has tapes of old CNN and TWC hurricane coverage, back when Neil was working at the National Hurricane Center.
