this guys facts are outdated. new salsa mukluks can accept standard 29er mountain bike wheels. i prefer to keep the fatties on all year around

and the trails are packed down

if it ruins the skating trails then many operators won't allow it. if it doesn't then do as you please

they must go faster than that, i'd want a front ski and rear track vs fatty tires

Cycling has a time and a place. For half the price of those Surlys, a quality skate skiing set-up is much faster AND better aerobic training. It's really not that difficult a sport to learn.

@willbgrill Hey bozo, clearly the inmates have taken over the asylum in Park City. Fortunately, most other places are interested in preserving their grooming efforts. I love MTB, in the winter too, but I'd never do it on a groomed trail. It's pointless and lame.

I love biking ... but when I paid over 100 ( cdn ) $ for a *season* nordic ski pass , I'm not sure i want to see biker over my favorite skating ski trail ! There already enough stupid walkers & snowshoewers on it . Seem like general public don't know anything about skating mode . *Just little 3 months here in the laurentians. Overall ...great simple idea this larger BB shell for fatter tires ... but don't go over my groom skating blvd .

I ride in the winter for the last 20 years on a normal bike in Northern Ohio.
