I agree with Savage in that Science and Theism are not mutually exclusive, but it doesn't mean that "Evolution" as it's contemporarily preached is correct. He cut off the caller right before he could make his argument which was that it's not religion that disproves "Evolution", but it's science that disproves it. If Evolution doesn't exist, then Savage believes in a false god, one that doesn't exist.

I actually agree with this video, although I didn't think I would at first. Even though I do not believe in a "God of the Bible", I fully support anyone with open-minded, progressive views regardless of their religion. By not trying to ignore science that's a huge step in the right direction. I just hope you are able to support equality and freedom regardless of what the Bible has to say about it.

Evolutionary Biology today is very different from Darwin's three pillars. The Three pillars of Darwin have already been disproved. Darwin is merely the father of evolutionary biology, but very little resembles its modern incarnation. So I guess you could say that even Darwin's field of study evolved. Anyway, You cannot truly embrace God by rejecting science or visa-versa. While the creation story, is just that - a story, Science is God's true fingerprint.
Savage's argument falls apart because why would a competent god have to make many different models to get to modern man. If a creator god is omniscient, he would know what models would and would not work ahead of time and not waste his time on faulty models, as it were. I appreciate that Savage accepts evolution but he's doing his share of rationalizing.

I'm not sure what to think of this. The believers, like Savage, are a threat to humanity no matter what. Evolution DOES NOT EQUAL GOD. if God needed to create evolution, then He wouldn't be GOD, because after all, who wants to worship a finite God? When I speak of evolution, I am speaking about the one that says man came from monkeys, or fish, or whatever it is nowadays. Nothing doesn't create something! I am not a monkey! Even if God were omnipotent, in which case he indeed wouldn't need to create evolution, it still stands to reason for him to create science, so that we, as humans could understand the world God created. Also, since God was still technically creating the Earth, 6 days is subject to interpretation. Plus, if God were omnipotent, he could have used the exact same process as it would take everything to occur by coincidence, but then used his power to accelerate everything to happen within 6 days.
Hence science and religion would both be correct, to a degree. Science will still date things to be millions of years old, because the methods it would've taken to develop coincidentally (as it's assumed most things do now) would be correct, just used in the wrong context. Just for the record though, I'd like to point out that I'm not even Christian, I'm Agnostic; and actually, I do think he's a bit condescending here.
I was raised to believe that God is infallible, meaning he doesn't make mistakes. Secondly, many scientist have found embryos of different spieces are NOTSIMILAR despite the evolution claim it was. I love it. From what we can see as secular human beings its impossible for the universe to exist without God, which makes evolution impossible. I agree with Savage in that Science and Theism are not mutually exclusive, but it doesn't mean that "Evolution" as it's contemporarily preached is correct. He cut off the caller right before he could make his argument which was that it's not religion that disproves "Evolution", but it's science that disproves it. If Evolution doesn't exist, then Savage believes in a false god, one that doesn't exist.

Savage's argument falls apart because why would a competent god have to make many different models to get to modern man. If a creator god is omniscient, he would know what models would and would not work ahead of time and not waste his time on faulty models, as it were. But probably the best we can hope for is that they synthesize reality with their beliefs in a way that favors reality. A person who travels at near spead of light (relative to my speed) ages slower.
If time was a mere made up concept, this should not happen.

Savage in his arrogance. I love Savage, and I love Science, but like all men, he is fallible in this theory. Evolution DOES NOT EQUAL GOD. if God needed to create evolution, then He wouldn't be GOD, because after all, who wants to worship a finite God? When I speak of evolution, I am speaking about the one that says man came from monkeys, or fish, or whatever it is nowadays. Nothing doesn't create something! I am not a monkey! Even if God were omnipotent, in which case he indeed wouldn't need to create evolution, it still stands to reason for him to create science, so that we, as humans could understand the world God created. Also, since God was still technically creating the Earth, 6 days is subject to interpretation. Plus, if God were omnipotent, he could have used the exact same process as it would take everything to occur by coincidence, but then used his power to accelerate everything to happen within 6 days.

Hence science and religion would both be correct, to a degree. Science will still date things to be millions of years old, because the methods it would've taken to develop coincidentally (as it's assumed most things do now) would be correct, just used in the wrong context. Just for the record though, I'd like to point out that I'm not even Christian, I'm Agnostic; and actually, I do think he's a bit condescending here.

I was raised to believe that God is infallible, meaning he doesn't make mistakes. At the same time, he decided to kill almost the entire human race and regretted that he made them in the first place-that's in the bible. There is a lot of conflict built into believing in a biblical god in the first place.

I agree, I really liked Savage and this stumps me that He would believe this. It is so simple, if we came from Apes, why don't we see apes turning to apes now? If we came from fish, why aren't humans walking out of the ocean now? I can't believe Savage is going there. I'm disapointed.

The THEORY of evolution is the same kind of theory as the theory of gravity or the theory of electromagnetism. Meaning that it is so close to an absolute fact as science can label it.
No proof of any god/spirit/ghost/troll/demon has never been recorded in the entire history of mankind. Jesus is a fictional character and his entire story was based on older religions and myths.
