me,systemhed ,was actually talking about the very intro to the song.instead of four single notes to produce the sound,strike the first note,pitch up for second note,.....wait ... im having deja vu.yep, i've been here before.

a pedal that changes the pitch to a higher octave.so, the way Jared does it is, hits that first note then the pedal brings it up to pitch note,the the second is the same.think about it.note then higher note same octave,next note,then higher note.on bass

thats a pretty interesting pedalboard... you should add the moog cp251, that will totally turn your Murf into a much more usable unit, it will offer you several CV controllers for the different settings on the murf... which is pretty crazy... i use it with my foogers and slim phatty and it totally adds a billion options

the intro is done on the bass with an ME50 pitch effects pedal.

yeah i have the me50 and it its pretty amazing, you can pretty much get the sound dead on even if you are playing an electric guitar.
