This is a protest with demands. WAPA has one month from the date of the protest to roll back the LEAC 33%. If this demand is not met, from December 16, 2011, the residents of the Virgin Islands will only be paying the usage portion of their monthly bills only, NO LEAC! I agree with you captainkate28, behavior like this from an adult is inexcusable! An embarassment to all decent Virgin Islanders. Tensions maybe high but Norma looked like an escape lunatic from the Mental Ward of St. Elizabeth's Crazy House. Public Figure, Radio Talk Show Host, hell she should have known better this is not even good news for her radio station that she represents. If you don't take yourself serious enough to care about your demeanor why should any of us?!

Regardless of what was said before this recording started, Norma should have held her composure and acted as a real role model should. If she is so committed to the youths of the community she should be trying to set a good example for them instead of teaching them how not to be civil and patient with other members of the community.

It's a wonder to me how a black/white segregation is coming into the picture seeing as how the woman in the video is latina from Puerto Rico and not white, as many of you argue. If there is anything you should be mad about it's that a woman like Norma Pickard-Samuel could act in this way when she is a public figure. Someone who is in the position she is in should be a role model for her community instead of acting like a crazy lunatic and making the Virgin Islands look like a circus.

Mrs. Samuel actions are uncalled for, the Latina (if that is her nationality) should have not continued fighting and of course the camera man is not helping by filming. I hope that at some point in time people realize that she did not start ranting and raving. I hope that individuals realize that someone did state that they did not care about the black men dying in the community. Oh God, can we all reflect on what the bigger picture is here. The main event for the day was the PROTEST. Here this supposed camera man comes along and focuses on some thing other than the protest. Instead of talking about the protest and what solutions we VI ppl living/not lining on the island could come up with. We here debating about what Norma should/shouldn't say how she should and shouldn't act, how is real and not real VI ppl.

I think that Norma Pickard-Samuel behavior is embarassing. Not all Virgin Islanders act this way when they are passionate about something. Hell people say things that are not right on a daily basis. Just think if we all acted this way so completely out of control what would we accomplish, nothing. Stop making excuses for this kind of behavior because there is no excuse! Anyone who has lived here long enough and including a majority of those who were "born here" are used to this kind of behavior because sadly it happens to be a fairly common behavior in the local culture. Look what happened with the Constitutional Convention, it ended up in the dumpster because of behavior just like this. This was totally uncalled for. We need to be "one" to effect change.

Norma is the one who injected the black/white divide as she so often does...it was her sole purpose for coming across the street and confronting the protestors. She was totally out of line and running around screaming the black/white divide crap is wrong...it only creates the divide it doesn't heal it.

She was sitting across the street for quite some time and just came over and started in with the racist crap of you people come down and we're out of order and have no place to say anything. I didn't catch the first few seconds because I'm a photographer with a digital SLR camera that has video capabilities. I was shooting photos and when I realized she was going to go off I switched to video. Norma doesn't need anyone or a camera to make an foolish ass of herself. She went off inside as well.
