@TheVisionary84 Ghetto means a part of a city where minorities live due to social economic problems. By definition Hackney and Newham are ghettos. Why bring up crime? Well my road used to be called murder mile because soo many people were shot dead on it in a short time and you get 30 years for killing someone with a gun and I know people who have got that at only 19 so that is more than half their life.

I don't think people in London really understand what a ghetto is. I'm from NY and lived there for many years, Hackney is one of the places I lived. In London you have poorly maintained public housing full of little shit kids that vandalize property. Were I live in Newburgh NY, the murder capital of the state, the entire city is decayed and mostly burned to the ground... Garbage is piling up everywhere. Gangs rule every block and even in the nicest parts of the city are over run with drugs.

@Eso1 Well that is because this country does a good job cleaning up its city. 1/3 of London was destroyed in WW2 and they never finished cleaning up the mess till the 1980s. So London knows more about decayed destroyed places than anywhere in the USA 85% of my nans town was destroyed and it is only starting to look modern today. London just looks up to date today because it went through alot. Why do you yanks even come on here to compare the USA is the richest country in the world LOL get a job

NY had to have a 75% drop in crime to even come close to being as bad as London at it's worst. That means London had to be the worst it ever was to be as dangerous as NY was at it's safest. Anyways, crime has been going up in NYC in the past few years... I saw more shit in a week then in the BX then I saw in a year in Hackney. But fuck that it's not good.
