Great video! I climbed the stairs last week and was by myself until I met two hikers coming from the Honolulu side as I was approaching the first "landing". They had told me that it had taken them about four hours and mentioned that the trail was not maintained. I continued to the top where I was treated to some fabulous views of both sides of the island. Coming back down the stairs reminded me of the steep part of a roller coaster ride! My roundtrip took me a little over two hours.

how did you find that passage? me and my friends only went up the way that gives a view of the H3 and the marine base.

@youohful you walk a couple feet past that kalawahine trailhead and you'll read the middle ridge head. Follow the pink ribbons and your all good.
