  • not the best explanation how to clean a shrimp this guys is not the best pro. u can remove the lags alot easier plus this shrimp is not so fresh, the head is removed to easely and the vain usually not green.

  • That's because the "vein" contains feces.

    I was always told that it was the spinal-chord (and I suppose de-veining it ussually removes that also), but it turns out that the main reason why we "de-vein" shrimp and crawfish before cooking them, is that it is actually the intestine.

    Which of course, is where its waste passes through.
