can't imagine the amount of rinsing you have to do afterwards. ;-)
obviously you dive with full masks or the water will sting your eyes and face too much. what do you do in cae of emergency, have you ever had to take your mask off?
yes safediver2 but there are good scuba diving stories on the net. My favourite is the myscubastory site. They have accident stories, shark dive encounter stories, wreck discovery stories, and so on. THey have lots of videos on the previous topics too! Type myscubastory into google and its the first one. Enjoy
The computer 'fills' the water presure and calculates your bottom time accordingly.
The thing is that when you are actually in -10 m bellow water surface your computer 'fill' like you are in -13 m.
Another interesting fact for Dead Sea Divers is that the water surface is -420 M bellow sea level so it is equivalent to a -3 M of water (you are in your deco stop on surface)
question: given the amount of salt and other minerals in the water, does that affect how far down you can dive? Is the pressure the same? How far down has anyone dived?
The amount of the lead we use depends on the water temperature, the diver dimension and if we use a diving suit or not. Usually, without diving suit we use 40-50 Kg.
Wow that's pretty cool, I've never seen video of someone scuba diving in the Dead sea. I always assumed if you dived below the salt, you couldn't get your head back up or something.
It would suck if your mask came off.

I heard, that because absense of Decomposers, people found a preserved city at thebottom of the dead sea, is that true?

how did you adjust your dive computer to measure the bottom time properly?
kreuzerkrieg 1 year ago
You don't have to adjust your computer at all.
The computer 'fills' the water presure and calculates your bottom time accordingly.
The thing is that when you are actually in -10 m bellow water surface your computer 'fill' like you are in -13 m.

Have you thought about it?

markheninger 1 year ago
Hi Mark,
The water contain several minerals like sodium chloride (NaCl) at the most, and calcium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride and others.
We dove to -44 M which is equivalent to -56 in the ocean. I don't now about anyone that dive deeper and I can suggest nobody really did.
The pressure is higher with 25-30% then in the ocean ( 1.28 Kg per Liter apprx. comparison to the 1.03 Kg per Liter in the ocean)
Hope this help

it just looks like bleached coral in the ocean yet it seems to be very much salted.

at what depth was this shooting?and what do you do about normal filling water in the mask?
talalzakry 1 year ago
It is fascinating these underwater shots at the Dead Sea, it is presumed that they were the Biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.
