  • The best MAC foundation. I'm absolutely in love with it.

  • why do europeans have to pay 36€ for this? when its 32$ (=24€)???

    poor me!

  • You are my sooooo FAVOURIT youtuber !!! Just love you're videos !

  • I love your reviews 100%...!!! I wanna try face and body as well as the full coverage....:))I just wish you had better lighting, zoomed in and made it hd!! That would of been azum!! But still love your reviews:)))

  • Dusty you are wonderful. I wanted o ask what your experience of this is when wearing on the body? Does clothing not get stained where the 2 meet? Or does it resist transfer. I also wanted to ask which colors you choose to be able to make any color?.Thank you so muach for doing this series. You do the best most detailed reviews with great art appeal.

  • @girlintrouble2 Thanks! I use this on the body often and it does stay put, though over time it will transfer onto clothing BUT if I'm using a body foundation on someone it's because they aren't going to have clothing on that part of their body. I use it all the time on men for shirtless photoshoots, women for legs, etc. I think I have White, C1, N2, N6, C9 and N12. Just think light, medium and dark, you should be good :)

  • @dustyohunter Thanks, not having tried it I figure its probably best to blend up to any area that may remain clothed. Possibly most ppl use it for face rather than body, only certain ppl may actually use it extensivly for body...and those bodies will probably have some clothing on. It prob makes sense to check that clothing is washable, hopefully it would not stain permanently. I see experiments occuring. Thanks for the list of colors!.

  • Thank you, for a while I was iffy on buying this

but from you you said in the video I am sure I would love this.

    =D

  • Aww man...I can't decide between buying Studio Fix Fluid and Face and Body. They both seem great.

  • @iloveredvines It's very light-wearing so it would be worth a shot to check it out. I'd say sweating yes... redness not as much. You can layer it easily but depending on the level of redness you might need something with more coverage.

  • Would you say this has a dewy finish satin , matt? xxx

  • @panacea81rocks It doesn't really alter your skin's natural texture at all. That's one of the things I love about it. If anything I'd say dewy, but it doesn't MAKE your skin any more dewy than it already is :)

  • @dustyohunter Ahh okay thanks so much ! xxx

  • Can you directly use this for an airbrush application without diluting it?

  • @Acieification i never have, nor have i ever heard of it being used that way... doesn't mean that you can't. i'm just not sure so i can't say :/

  • You're fridge is probably like a photographers. Yours is probably filled with foundation and makeup bits. Mine (photographer) is filled with film and random photography junk. See, lots of not food items in both and really confusing for poor guests when they go looking for food and get film and foundation instead.

  • @SchoolAccount1129 haha i have always wanted my fridge to look like that... unfortunately (well, maybe "unfortunately" is the wrong word) it's always filled with food and makeup just gets a little shelf. it totally grosses me out though, keeping foundation with things like jam. lol! i don't know WHY it bugs me... kind of like how i won't drink water from the bathroom sink. i know it's the same water that's in the kitchen. it just bugs me. haha ;)

  • I would like to add this to my kit...what 3 colors did you buy to create any color?...i am thinking of these; what do you think? C1, N1 and N9

  • @Queenie216 I would probably shoot for C1 N9 but pick something in the middle as well. N4 or something like that.

  • @dustyohunter THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING!

  • your eyes are gorgeous!

  • I bought MAC's tinted studio moisture tint and I'm regretting not having bought this instead...looks like it would suit my needs much better, as well as being a MUCH better value for the price

  • What Shade would you recommend for NW15? :) x

  • @FloralFlow12 c1 or n1 - i think that c1 is paler than n1 - but i don't have n1 to compare it to - nw15 is VERY pale though - you might try face & body in white. if you can pull it off it looks amazingly good! it's not clown white at all - very natural but porcelain pale like a doll - super pretty.

  • @dustyohunter Do mac only sell the white Face And Body at Pro stores, couldn't find it online - I'm A very pale red-head, So that may explain the paleness;) Thank's for the information - Please reply!

  • @FloralFlow12 yes i'm pretty sure (like 99.999% sure) that it's a pro-only product. but pro stores will ship wherever - you just have to buy it over the phone if you aren't near a store. and you don't have to be a pro member (pro members just get discounts, nothing else really). face & body white is good to have if you are pale because it can also be used to lighten any other liquid foundation you have. i've seen sam from pixiwoo use it as a mixer with other foundations before. it's handy! :)

  • @dustyohunter Ok great, ill order it over the phone, when I get the money - I just wanted a lightweight foundation for school, because I am a young teenager so i didn't want anything that would clog my pores, so this sounds great! Thank's for your help! :)

  • @FloralFlow12 you're welcome! good luck! :)

  • Is this good at covering redness dusty?

  • @synth13490 depending on the severity of the redness, it can be too sheer sometimes. using a skin corrector under the foundation - or something heavier - might be a better option.

  • I just found your channel and have been watching your videos all weekend!! Quick question, have you done a video on the F&B Mixing Medium? I have it and want to make sure I'm using it to its full potential.

  • @BohemianSheila thanks! i don't have a video on it - i'm actually out of it so i haven't really messed around with it in awhile. i know you can use it to thin out other foundations, as well as mix pigments to it and make custom colors. i have it on my shopping list though - i have been wanting to see how it mixes with loose mineral foundations (bare escentuals, etc.) to see if you can turn dry and loose into custom colored face and body foundation :) keep you posted when i tinker with it more!

  • hey great video!! which shade would you recommend for te shade nc15?

  • @WetWildAndWonderful C1 - it's what I often use on myself :)

  • I just discovered your channel and wow, i really am impressed by all your mac work! Great job!

A question: i'm a goth-y type and would love the white foundation, just i'm wondering how should i do with concealer? i now use pro-longwear in NW20 [orangey to better cover blue undereye area, or so i've been told!], would it suddenly become not light enough? but if i buy nw15 would still cover my undereye or just turning them to an ash grey color like cheap concealers tend to do?

    thanks in advance!

  • @PerfectBlack i would suggest testing it out to see. there's no way to really tell for sure until you try :) i often use foundation for concealer - face and body, for example, will thicken a bit and become more opaque if you take a small amount and let it dry for 5 minutes or so - then apply it. it will work much like a concealer :)

  • The thing idon't like about Mac foundations and concealers is the shades!I was matched to nc20 with studio sculpt (which looked awful on my dry skin) and nw20 on select cover up concealer .the foundation shade looked perfect (it made me look even a bit bronzed which I loved) but the concealer doesn't cover anything cause it's too light! Which shade in f&b so u think Is closer to nc20?

  • @Leliforever probably c2

  • @dustyohunter thank you!i'll check it out!

  • they dont come up in subscription box. and they say that they are unlisted. unless u put a link to the video, no one can access it. i didnt know u made any videos until i saw the main concealer 101 video then went through the links in the description box. just a heads up to let u know ur videos arent getting out there like they should bc theyre amazing

  • @shanzy508 thanks! glad you like them. if you watched my mac foundations overview video you would see that they are listed on that video. these "mini reviews" are all part of the larger review video. i didn't list them because i didn't want to flood peoples subscription boxes when i uploaded 13 videos in one night.

  • why are your videos not listed?

  • @shanzy508 What? Where? lol

  • how do you blend with a beard? it seems difficult.

  • @MrDrunkhellokitty it's actually quite easy! it's only difficult to blend with stubble - but anything over 1/8" long is easy to blend - just the same as you would with the hair on your head :)

  • I may just have to go for the white. I'm really not a MAC fan, but I have a terrible time finding makeup in my skin color because I have a very distinct blue tone to my almost white skin, rather than pink or yellow as most everybody else has. Like, if I take a photo of myself and get a color sample from a particular pixel, it's almost completely cyan. Crazy.

Is there any way of getting a trial size of this stuff? I do have very sensitive skin and have to try things for a week before investing.

  • Great review - I kind of like how the white one looks on you :) Is it a pro product, though? I've been looking for it at my local MAC counter, without luck. And do you know of anywhere with a... comparison-sheet? Anything on MAC foundations and how they compare, colour-wise. I usually use Studio Fix Fluid in NW15, but it's somewhat dark for winter. I know the face and body has a different system of colour names, but they SOUND paler - and the white one definitely supports that :)

  • @grangrangran Thanks! White is Pro only. I checked into it. But it's... White. LOL. So if you want it, you know what color it is ;) For a foundation comparison chart, check out the Foundation Matrix on temptalia(dot)com. I've used it before. It works, it's great!

  • Super video. This is the MAC foundation that I have been leaning toward purchasing because of its finish and wear. It's important for me that a foundation last through a workout. I always apply foundation with my fingers 'cause I'm too lazy to get a brush and I think it's quicker overall

  • i agree with your application method! i have learned that F&B applies best with fingers-otherwise too much will get absorbed into the brush! also, by using fingers you can really melt it into your skin. any other foundation i will use a brush for the best results.

i have a question as well-if you mix F&B with other foundations to sheer them out, will you add to the transfer & water resistance of the heavier foundation?

  • Great video!

I have oily/combination skin, so I often go for matte finish foundations. But I don't like the cakey-ness. I recently bought, Bobbi Browns "Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation" because I heard it was light wear. It's nice but I find it goes into my pores and doesn't even out my skin tone, so I often end up covering it with MAC's Mineralize skinfinish natural, which together give a nice finish...maybe still too matte though. Do you think face and body would suit me?

  • @overhappyish that would be my guess. everyone is different but i love love love face and body for how much it looks like skin and how light if feels when you have it on.

  • oh em gee. It's Dusty Cullen! =O

  • I have combination skin and I tend to get oily around the T-Zone. I love MAC F&B but it usually wears off around my T-Zone in 3-4 hours. Do you have any tips or product recommendations for me to prolong the wear of the foundation. I do set it with powder and use it with a primer (Smashbox Photofinish Light). Thanks for you review! I'm considering to pick up the white one for Halloween =D.

  • @1nosei5 Hmm... I would have recommended a primer but it sounds like you're doing everything you should be. My next recommendation would be to switch to a different foundation. If you like the look of Face & Body, try the Select Coverup in the T-Zone and see how that works. Select Coverup is a VERY similar product to Face & Body. It's like a concealer version of Face & Body actually - Similar formulas (you often see MAC artists using it AS foundation for runway shows).

  • is face & body ideal for a super dewy look ?

or should i try a different brand like stila illuminating or chanel pro lumiere ?

    i want to look greasy/wet/shiny

  • @filtheedollee Face & Body is the dewiest foundation that MAC makes that will stay put w/o powder. Pro Lumiere doesn't really look very dewy to me. Just more illuminated. Try mixing foundation with a skin-friendly oil (grapeseed, jojoba, etc.) to turn that foundation dewy - It may work. If you want greasy and shiny though, you may want to go with gloss on top of the foundation and a spritzing of water mixed with a little glycerine. That's what I did here: dustysrecords(dot)com/chickenatmac :)

  • Hun these are great vids and you are gorgeous without foundation your boyfriend is a very lucky guy mwah x

  • Can you only get the MAC face and body in white at a pro store?

  • @puzzlerella I believe that might be the case with that one. There's a Pro store in Vancouver though - And they do ship (I've asked before)! I also think there is one near the east coast but I'm not sure where EXACTLY.

  • I was wondering about beard hair...I like to get my boyfriend to wear tinted moisturizer with spf, and one day I didn't do it for him and he got it in his beard. Luckily nobody really seemed to notice, but it looked so weird to me (think blond guy with orange-ish beard haha). So I was wondering, what do you do about spf where you have hair? Do you need to worry about the skin underneath or is the hair blocking the sun?

  • @shuppet88 Haha! Great question! It's not that hard to apply foundation with a beard but here are a few tips: 1.) The right foundation (nothing too heavy) and as much as I hate them, mineral foundations and powders work best. 2.) A good brush to softly blend the product up to the facial hair line. 3.) Stubble is sexy but a full beard is MUCH easier to work with. The foundation is less noticeable if you have a full beard and get a little in the hairs.

    Re: your other question...

  • @dustyohunter Haha thank you so much! He has stubble on the weekends and shaves during the work week...I will try some mineral stuff on him, but I'm quite a few shades darker than him lol so I'm not sure how I'll work that (NC 42 compared to NC/NW 20 lol). Anyway thanks! And btw about the Inglot store supposedly opening in Aventura, I called those jerks at the mall and they said, "we have no date for when they're opening" Bummer! So the store front is just there with no makeup in it yet. :(

  • @shuppet88 I have never worried about sunscreen under my beard hair. I usually use a moisturizer with SPF in it and work it kind of into the hair but I know it's not getting down to the skin. I don't actually know if the hair does anything to protect the skin. But it's kind of difficult to get sunscreen on your face where you have hair (imagine trying to put sunscreen on your scalp with a full head of hair!) LOL!

    Hope all that helps! :)

  • You're so right about the white. I thought it'd end up looking kind of costumey but it's a natural-looking pale tone. Nice!

  • @nosleepinheaven I love Face and Body in white! If you have the skin for it I always say go for it! You're right, it's not costumey at all - It gives you a very porcelain complexion. Whenever I actually wear it out I always get compliments on my skin (the dark hair and popularity of Twilight probably helps! hahahah!)

  • I'm really pale, I don't usually match any of MAC's foundations. I'm a tad lighter than NW/NC15. Do you think N1 will be okay? I know I could mix with White, but anyway. :D Also, can regular costumers buy those MAC travel bottles?

  • @LissaFrutilla I believe those travel bottles are even sold at counters so yes! And re: the color. I often use C1, which is - I believe - Slightly lighter than N1. I've also seen whatstyleistonickel use C1 and he's quite fair skinned as well.

  • @dustyohunter Neat. I also just read that C1 is only slightly yellow. I thought it would be like NC^2. And pinkness sucks on me *shakes fist at MUFE HD 110*. So C1 is probably better undertone-wise anyway.

Cool, I've just never seen those travel bottles before.

  • @LissaFrutilla The travel bottles are nice because if you need to mix your own color you can just keep it in one of them. The MAC ones have measuring lines on the side too, which is helpful.

  • If you put Face and Body on your body will it transfer?

    Thanks for the videos!( =

  • @InspirationxO it is not transfer resistant so it can come off onto clothing - but not as easily as other foundations.

  • Thanks for the tip to put liquid foundation inside the fridge :) Will def do that !

  • FYI: I'm not even interested in MAC Face and Body, but I watched this just because you're amazing! So....even when I don't care about the topic, I still watch every single one of your videos because you're creative, knowledgeable, and funny.

  • @EyeWearMakeup Aw thanks! :) These were daunting to pull off so I apprecaite the comment! :)

  • all kinds of places? like wherrre? ;) haha.. love as always <3
