  • Super job Bill!!! No a dry eye in the house. Sure miss Papa John!!

  • You sound like Conway Twitty when you talk , and you sound like John Hughey on your steel tribute. Thats what i call a Double tribute. Thanks

  • Awesome!

  • Bill,

I've never seen this before, although I believe I've seen most of your other great steel-videos on here, but this one is just SO great !

What an absolutely appropriate tribute to one of the greatest steelers ever ! Great playing as usual and the fact that you have Jean Hughey by your side there just adds to the greatness !

    All the best !

  • Bill, SIR; YOU are a great man.

  • I met John at Jimmy Crawford's house when i took lessons for a week. A great Person & picker. I cried after his passing, playing with the Time Jumpers. John & Jean will always be in my Heart Forever

  • Great job Bill, enjoyed every note, must say, needed to wipe my eyes after it was done, John was a TRUE sty less in his wonderful playing..

    Thank's for the memories..

  • David, Thank you for the compliments. It was a very special moment for me having Jean sit beside me.

  • I accidentally stumbled onto your steel videos of John and yourself and others. I forget what I was actually looking for. I was lucky enough to play bass with John a handful of times, and actually got to record with him once. Watching this video and seeing Jean on stage with you, I teared up pretty good. I appreciate you putting all that you have put up on YouTube. I definitely miss John.

  • Bill: What a wonderful tribute to John Hughey and also by having his wife on the stage with you. I always admired John's playing and also your work on steel also. Great. Louis Armentaro from Livingston, Montana
