They had no choice. The network would never air cartoons that have a fixed ending. Western cartoons work that way: you can't tell a linear plot without the network screwing over.

The mom was a bit younger looking, pretty attractive coming from a kid just going through puberty. I'm 26 now, but this show still holds up its weight!
