AFE is terrible. My wife suffered this during the birth of our daughter, four years ago, one minute she was fine the next she was gone. It took 27 minutes to get her heart started and suffered a brain injury from it and did suffer the severe blood loss. I was told this may have cleared out the foriegn matter from her blood. She was on a respirator for several days before being able to breathe by herself. She now functions with support.
