Rodgers is a good quarterback when it comes to physical skills. He is nowhere near Farves mindset tho. Favre proved Ted Thompson wrong last night along with fat ass McCarthy!!! Aaron Rodgers has a great arm and moves in the pocket well, his play is very very favre-like, if not, identical. favre i think is better too, he has that clutch instinct and personality. good luck to the packers, they're a good football team. their pass rush and o-line needs work though.

-The Vikings scored their 4th TD just after half-time. -The Packers offense only scored once prior to the final few minutes.
The final score looks close, but the Vikings dominated on both sides of the ball.
Favre probably knows the Packers defense better than they do and systematically took them apart. Expect the same in GB.
The only way the Vikings lose in GB is if the Packers score a lot of points. They have dominant receivers, but need to figure out how to get them the ball.

Don't you think Rogers is a good QB? He looked solid but had little protection. Favre, while undeniably a first-round Hall of Famer, will eventually succumb to age and Rogers is the future. I don't know that Favre could take the pounding involved with rebuilding the O-line at GB.

When Rodgers gets hit from both sides, it only appears he's not getting protection. This is a better than average o-line and Rodgers just needs to.step forward to use his blockers rather than retreating to keep all defenders in front of him. On their lone TD prior to the final minutes, he stepped forward to avoid the rush and had FOUR receivers wide-open.
If Rodgers lasts 2 more years, his longevity will be 2nd in Packers history for a QB. He may need to defy the odds just to outlast Favre.

You're absolutely right about Rodgers steeping forward,I noticed that too.Plus a QB with legs like Rodgers,should be moving more and possibly scrambling like Vick did,adding another threat to the opponents defense.I think Rodgers will last longer than that,I'm sure PAckers will invest in some decent guards.

This team was "rebuilding" 2 years ago. They were the youngest in the NFL and Favre took them within an overtime of the superbowl.
The future is now for the Packers. Rodgers is statistically a great QB with perhaps the best receivers in the NFL. After 20 games as starter, he has yet to beat a team with a winning record.
Favre and Manning skew perception, but durable QB's after 25 are rare. Both Favre and Rodgers will likely stop playing due to injury.
I say Favre outlasts Rodgers.

rodgers is definately the better choice for the packers. im a vikings fan but i can admit rodgers is a good qb. the only thing favre has over him right now is his fast release and quick reads. i think 2 or 3 sacks were a result of rodgers holding the ball too long. i doubt the vikings pass coverage is that good that tends to be our weakness on defense
