I am using the N64 golden version of this game, and I am having troubles with this part. I have tried to swordslash after jumping and sheild dropping the bombchu, however everytime, all Link does is take damage.... yell like an idiot.... and fall to the ground. It doesn't even give me time to jumpslash. I have looked at the Uber Challenge Guide, watched multiple videos.... and I still can't figure it out. Can you help, oh mystical Cheeseman?

Make sure you're pressing B to do the jumpslash as fast as possible. You only have a short window between shield dropping the bombchu and taking damage. Also, try waiting different amounts of time before shield dropping the bombchu.

everytime I shield drop I just take damage literally as soon as I shield drop the bombchu, I'm using n64 version

most of glitches i tried doesnt work for me.

this time i had problems with the bombchu. i cant drop it on air as video show. i am actually using a n64- but i have no idea of the button difference betwen gc and n64. some glitches need specific buttons and possibly this issue could be the problem, but i tried every button on my joystick and i have no idea of what's wrong. some help with both things mentioned before please?

Nevermind (: i got the backflip down ( for some reason i need to do 4, 3 to get me into the position your in for the vid and then the one you do in the vid.) now i just need to learn the wall walking which i thought would be extremly easy compared to the rest of the glitches and... it's not. I'm gonna be pissed if that sidehop is also rediculously hard b/c it doesn't look like it is.

Try shield dropping the bombchu at different points in your jump (i.e. earlier or later).

Ok now i loaded up a file with more life and bombchu and can get up there like 1 in every 5 times (which is great b/c the 6 bombchu would kill me in uber) but i can't get anywhere near the top i've tried running and a bunch of back flips even when i backflip straight back wards i can't get up there. Any advice on the angle?

easier explanation and different method: dont hold L = Z while jumping, just draw your bombchu and then in the mid air press Z=L + R and immediatly press B. the difficult part is to walk before the sidejump

@Nekokitty74 what i meant (and sry for my english) is that in this video, he is pressing L before jumping, you can see it because the black lines in the sides......but my method is that instaed pressing before the L button, just try to wait until you jump to press L and press R at the same time and immediatly press B to release the sword. it worked for me several times. as i said before that is not the difficult part....walking until reaching the shadow temple is the real shit.

Actually, I thought this was another video; there is no guide linked. My mistake. Here is what I was talking about:

Get on top of the box, then line yourself up with the ledge in

front of you. Hold Z. Pull out a bombchu, then jump and shield drop the bombchu

by pressing R. Release Z and R and press B to jumpslash and gain extra height.

This combination will boost you to the ledge.

i see. i've just been trying to do this for about a week now. i can get up to the ledge with the bombchu, but every time i try to backflip, i just can't get up there and i'll fall back to the box. i know sooner or later i'll get it, but it's pretty frustrating some times... i like the uber challenge, though. the cucco jump took me forever to get, i was on that one for almost two weeks!

Well I don't use Bombchu's, I use normal bombs. The reason is because Bombchu's are to expensive and you have to know where to look to buy them, if it gets to that point on going back in time it's a pain. See wth normal bombs all you have to do it cut up the pile of weed grass at the entrance and

out pop bombs, well sometimes :-/.

but what i usually do is buy about 40 bombchus at the bombchu shop then i turn into adult link and save.. then i go to the graveyard and keep trying till im low on health.. then i get the heart container and leave and come back... its pretty good practice i guess

ive tried it about 400 times so far and i kept falling..

i gave up after about 3 hours and im gonna try again tomarrow.. does anybody have any tips or anything that they can help me with because its realy hard to do... ive made it about halfway once then i ended up falling into the graveyard... sometimes when i do the jump i fall out of the graveyard and into nothingness.ineed help
