  • I did tried this 'ouch' method. It worked only for 2 days and then my GR just ignore my 'ouch'. In fact when I screamed 'ouch' now he got even more excited and bit me even harder.

  • FYI, an essential component of this is leaving the puppy alone and ignoring it for a few minutes after saying 'ouch' when it bites. Your puppy must already understand that you are the source of all good things in its life (like food, water, and sleep), which means you need to be bonding with it and giving it attention and affection at all other times, so that when you ignore it, it will be a punishment to the puppy, and will teach the puppy that if it bites, you will leave.

  • i tried everything. when i whimpering he gets more exited and keeps on biting me. abnd i say ouch he ignores and when i squick rly loud he doesnt care about sh!t. he only cares when i hit him.. someone tell me fast wat 2 do cuz u dnt rly wanna keep my dog biting me and me hitting him..

  • u didnt ignore it after saying ow u tickled it

  • @simoncarlprice That's because he wasn't biting.

  • @YourBleach what breed type i this dog ? thank yo

  • actually, whimpering stops my dog from biting, not saying ouch

  • i yelling ouch like a moron and he kept biting....fuck your stupid methods

  • @cleverdogcompany if u put your hand in your dogs mouth and say ouch but when u put it in their mouth won't your dog bite

  • hand in your dogs mouth and say ouch but when u put it in ther mouth they with bite

  • Seriously? Shouting 'ouch' works? "Your puppy will understand that hurts" I don't think puppies understand much, let alone they are hurting you. They don't have that thinking capability. I think the noise of shouting 'ouch' is just a distraction. You could blow a whistle everytime they bite and maybe that will work too??

  • When I do it to my dog it nips more like he's trying to play a game what am I doing wrong

  • Hahahhahaha :D aoooo :D

  • Great video. I've been reading and reading and trying to figure out whether to make a strict no teeth rule from day one, or to teach a soft mouth first with my newest foster puppies. I've always done strict no teeth at all from day one, but the more I read (and watch), the more I'm seeing that there are two dimensions that we have to teach. Thanks!
