Some of you make it seem as if these fathers forcefully dragged their daugthers into this thing. . .like if a girl wants to sleep around before she gets married, that's HER choice and it has nothing to do with the father, and in some cases, you're right. But these fathers are showing that they actually give a damn about their daughters and arent just bowing out of their lives and telling their kids to just do whatever they want.

The formality (ceremonies) varies from one church to another. Father/daughter purity balls are the most common. BTW the Jonas brothers wear purity ring except Kevin. He recently married.
The boy's version is called an "integrity ball," and it's not about saving little Jimmy's virginity, it's about pledging not to deflower anyone's "future wife" before she's married. Because that's all girls are: hymens and future wives. Ugh.
Okay I respect a girls descision to remain "pure" until marriage, that's her decision and these girls should be able to make their own descisions not pressured into them.
