Food for thought there is a small cavern located NW of Camp Searchlight, E of Legion Raid Camp, follow the road with Nipton E than NE of the turn toward Novac; called Broc Flower Cave, in it are giant rats that can take quite a few shotgun shells to the face and still cripple you. Also the Ratslayer the unique varmint rifle(( fully modded with night vision scope, extended magazine(8 5.56 rounds), and silencer) which is a pretty good sniper to start off with.
