  • Wilde Roast Café is a nice place. Yeah!

  • they have the best French Dip sandwich ever!

  • instead of milk, how about cold Mountain Dew? Bubbles make for fluffier eggs!

Sounds like fun was had with good food to boot.

  • oooooo what about guiness in the eggs! (But would that have too many calories?)

  • I'm reading throught the comments and I see the word "fluffy" come up often. Who the hell wants fluffy eggs?

  • makes me think of that polyester cotton fluff that's inside plush stuffed animals & pillows :p

  • MILK??? That's for peasants! hahaha All I can say is I'm with you on this, I never put milk in my scrambled eggs. only a little cheese if I have some and green onion or bacon of something but NEVER milk.

Perhaps this is why I never liked scrambled eggs at restaurants!

  • lol peasants!

  • I always make them with milk because that's what I learned from my mom. Recently, I've started putting shredded cheese in them, and making a sandwich with toasted English muffins. Cream cheese is also good in them.

I also like to cook them a bit differently than most, probably influenced by Asian cooking, I heat up the pan over high heat until it's super hot, then add clarified butter and cook the eggs really fast. Sometimes I even do it in the wok.

  • oh yes! Adding cheese to the scrambled eggs is my favorite! I've also added flour to eggs to see what happens and that was pretty good too. Oh yeah and shredded salmon too

  • Actually, it's been a while since I've done it but adding milk does make scrambled eggs fluffier.

  • I'll definitely have to try that sometime. How much is TOO much? :p

  • Some milk makes scrambled eggs a little bit more fluffy.

  • lol don't worry I didn't make crumbled eggs with milk until recently XD A friend told me it was nicer but I didn't taste much diference =D

  • I wonder if vanilla soy milk or rice milk would work :)

  • Scrambled eggs without milk sucks!

    *jealous of your gathering!*

  • ever try it with chocolate milk?

  • I've never put milk in my scrambled eggs, but then I'm no cook. So, I asked my husband (who is) and he said that he doesn't either.

Cool to see you out and about with friends! :~)

  • oh good, I'm glad I'm not the only one! :)

  • I always use milk..make then nice and fluffy! Wild Roast does have some tasty food!

  • If only I had a 55 gallon stomach and $300 to spend on food, the ENTIRE menu looked so good there!

  • I use milk or half and half. Makes them FLUFFY

  • hmmmmmm, half and half makes me want to try something above and beyond even that... Whipped Cream in scrambled eggs! :)

  • I don't make my scrambled eggs with milk either. I usually make omelettes, fried eggs, french toast, or I'll bake them into something. Looks like you guys had fun.

  • oh good, I'm glad I'm not the only one! :)

It was quite a fun mini gathering. It was the first time meeting Sean for both Blizzee and me so next time the group will probably be larger

  • the food looks soooo good!

  • I kept staring at the desserts behind the counter... gourmet EVERYTHING! I resisted the temptations though :(

  • Yays! We should have made more vids. I have like a minute of the Capybara discussion. LOL

And a great time was had by all!

  • ahhhhhh if only we had the segment about the $300 guinea-pig GAG GIFT!!!!!!!

  • No milk in eggs. But I did try chili on spaghetti.

  • chili on spaghetti sounds good!

  • Great video brojoghost- it looked like you all had fun- I will check blizzeekitty and shonmon99 out. I've never been to Wilde Roast Cafe. Haha, I always make scrambled eggs with milk- BUT, my dad just said that if you break the eggs directly in the pan then beat them up you don't use milk. You generally only use milk if you break them into a separate bowl- then you mix the milk in with it. Adding milk makes scrambled eggs more moist and fluffy. Oh no! It's the attack of the infimus bunny ears :x

  • if you're ever in the area, right at the crazy intersection of Hennepin and Central Aves, it's worth it! I didn't record much of the ornate decor, it is very 19th Century, the fireplace & mantel are quite impressive :)

  • it was ALOT of fun :) im so glad we planned this. totally made the best saturday of the month.

  • Awesome venue, awesome company, awesome food, and double awesome new memories!
