think you for this video. I am reading Mark Twain's novel "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" The Mississippi river in the novel represents the passage of time the past , present and the future. Huckleberry Finn represents the kid in all of us who is trying to understand life and find peace in his heart .
Twain was a realist, though tied to the church thru Livy's family and his good friend reverend Stowe, he understood man and his need for a god to lean on. And the hipocracy and unjust reasoning of established religion. His later thoughts are best expressed in " Little Bessie Would Assist Providence" and " The War Prayer." He was no fool, his thought was to do good for the sake of doing good.
I have never read anything so funny as Mark Twain's HUCK FINN. Especially the part where the whole town, during a night storm, trudge out to the graveyard to dig up the coffin of Peter Wilks. It's so brilliant and I figure anyone who can write like that must have gotten a dusting of God's perfect humor. I read it whenever I am down ---- it's better than a pill!
Very nicely done. I was under the impression that he was an atheist. Abraham struggled with God too for many years, as he experienced many difficult trials. Hannibal is a quaint, and nostalgic little town. Thanks for post.

Equality ? LOL
Freemen are never equal. Equal men are never free.
IMO if Sam was alive today he'd be calling out the pinko legions.
