Bots that Valve made only work on Viaduct and Nucleus, so these bots are BADASS! I mean, No udda bot gonna do that!

I was figuring, maybe bots can have access to some information generally 'unknown' to human players to compensate for an AI's general shortcoming; learning.

I figure an AI should be able to tell if there's a sentry ahead, if a spy is disguised, get accurate shots, etc to make the AI stronger, since the human brain can learn and process things, something that in the long run will overpower the AI.

This would allow the bots to cheat. :| The point of ValvE's official bots is to fully simulate players, as in, if you do NOT appear on their screen, they have a rather low chance of detecting you. That much is true for human players. Besides, the bots are for practice, for the new players who don't want to get mocked or judged for their bad skills. :) Once you've conquered the bots, move on to human players. Case and point right there.

Well, i haven't actually used these bots, as i didn't know they was released, but, imo i think the TF bots are prob better, as the Pyro can airblast and such. Classes spy check, medic heal you with no problems. Although the Tf bots are still in beta, so they dont work on all maps yet. so far only koth. to add them just type in console tf_add_bot or tf_bot_add.

Neat actions done with the bots - I wonder if they will be capable of error like failing a double jump, missing, or getting stuck on something they accidently (small chance for bot to take that path) sidestepped into.

Have the bots attempt spy-checks every now and then, making the same errors like missing and/or firing only a few times before classifying the character in question as "on their side".

This is cool. During normal matches, I don't like anything that can give someone an advantage, (aimbot, see through walls, omnibots, etc) but there are times when mods and bots like these can be fun. just as long as they stay in servers designated for stuff like that, it's all good.

TF2 is just not conducive to bots. While the engineer was building the sentry, if a scout ran across the battlements, he would have been killed by his own sentry.

I wonder how the Engie builds the sentries in locations where metal recharging is more difficult.

Good engies always keep about 100 Metal in reserve in case the sentry is attacked. Its slower to build but chances are the sentry survives early raids.

You'd have to ask them. I suspect if you look closely they would be lacking significantly. Bots are possible with current SDK, but there is a lot you can't do with it.

I've heard you can program their difficulty and what they're allowed to do using a script that comes with the pack, so yeah, you can try playing with a bot sniper that works almost as well as an aimbot. :P

Its not going to freakin' ruin anything. You can see what servers have bots in the server browser very easily (you need to right click and add it, its not on by default).

Most known servers will not use bots either. And its far not worse than all those servers with fake players counts tricking you in them, and you end up all alone.

Seriously, its not going to change shit for you, not going to ruin everything, and will make TF2 more awesome.
